Well if you ever had on your wish list the NeoGeo AES or MVS systems back in the day and even today entertained the idea of looking those up on the used market, you'll quickly realize that those old systems and the game cartridges are just silly expensive. This ASP (Arcase Stick Pro) system comes with only 20 games pre-loaded, but if you navigate to the SNK Japan website, you can download additional cdkeys to unlock 20 more games free for a total of 40. That alone for the price is a decent NeoGeo system/ collection to own for much cheaper than any other official NeoGeo option. If you want to venture beyond the 40-game mark and you are resourceful enough, you might be able to "UNLOCK" this device even further and make it the ultimate NeoGeo Console.Additionally, the option of using this as a standard arcade stick on the PC or another game console is also a great benefit of owning this system/ unit. Just wish they had included the OG Badge/ Sticker from the 1990s with the words "BIGGER BADDER BETTER" in the box....otherwise, this is a great addition to any game room/ collection if you have the space for it.

Out of the box the build quality was excellent. The menu system was simple and clean, while still feeling like an arcade system. Being able to use the device as a stand alone arcade stick controller takes it to another level. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is they need to add an easy bios adjustment or cheat setting as some of these games are tough as nails. Most of the NeoGeo games came out after my arcade playing days, and they are now amongst my all time favorites. Further, if you know a thing or two about the internets, there is a soft mod you can perform - with THAT I was able to add more games, and more importantly more game play options. That takes it to 5 plus stars if you do that!

I got this because I grew up on Arcades and King of Fighters was my favorite. I then saw videos of how cool it was on Youtube. I bought it and plugged it in. Moved the buttons because even though it was a SNK Release, they somehow did not get the proper layout. HOW!!!! How can you mix the buttons up on an arcade stick. They matched the SNK Console for home. Who the heck approved this?Anyways I get it and swap them to the proper layout, well then guess what? Console Mode only, no arcade option. WHY? For this price I went out and got Mayflash F300 just as a test and let me tell you that, that option was better as I can emulate arcade. I can also map the buttons properly.I wanted to like this and mod it to get the other games and finding out that I only have console credits, sucks. I want a real arcade experience and the Mayflash does it since I already have a PC. Was it fun to play with? Heck yeahThe running out of credits and choosing the level. Nope. I was close to beat Orochi and then it was like game over. Ummm what if I had 50 dollars in quarters and need to get back into the groove. No, this game is like 4 tries and if you suck. BYE. I saw they enabled the arcade option on their table top.May buy that instead as even though I was good back when, I need practice again against the tougher bosses.

As many other reviews point out, the unit itself has an excellent build. The joystick clicks, it can be modified (there's even a small plug right under the joystick itself if you want to replace the ball top), it's compatible with the Neo Geo Mini and vice versa, and it works great as a PC controller. Mine came in a bundle with a Gamelinq adapter (now sold separately), allowing me to play on my Switch, PS4 and PS3, but sometimes it simply disconnected during gameplay. To play the games built into it, it's powered by USB and doesn't include a plug adapter. Fair warning, it's not compatible with XBox systems, or at least the XBox One.Although 20 games are listed, 20 more can be unlocked by downloading the unlock keys from the official website onto a USB stick for a total of 40. The downside is that they're all the Japanese AES versions, meaning there's no English text aside from the options and they're the home versions that only grant you 3 credits. Fortunately, you have save states and most games have the memory card feature (key word being MOST), allowing you to save your progress even if you run out of credits. Lost to Omega Rugal in KOF2002? Load your card save and you can start the game at him each time.At least that's my review on the base unit. Let's just say there's other ways to bring out more out of this unit, and it's absolutely worth it for that. Still, the original Neo Geo hardware is decades old and it's strange to think they haven't found ways to let you choose between home and arcade modes or different languages.

La escena era tan grotesca que parecía sacada de una película de terror de bajo presupuesto.El NEOGEO Arcade Stick Pro se convirtió en el centro de un culto desquiciado de mujeres que no solo querían jugar, querían experimentar lo impensable. Mi sala se llenó de gritos, jadeos y gemidos, mientras las amigas de mi esposa, ahora transformadas en una especie de secta arcade, seguían luchando con la consola de la forma más retorcida posible.Así que, si piensas en comprar esta consola, piénsalo dos veces. El UNICO NEOGEO Arcade Stick Pro no es solo un mando retro, es una puerta a la decadencia total, a la pérdida del control sobre la realidad. Si no estás preparado para que tu vida se convierta en un circo de deseo irracional, donde las amigas de tu esposa hacen caca y juegan con el palo del arcade con partes de su cuerpo que no deberían, entonces tal vez quieras dejarlo en el carrito de Amazon y olvidarte de esta experiencia infernal.Y mientras tanto, Amazon sigue amasando fortuna. El capitalismo voraz se frota las manos mientras nosotros nos desmoronamos en un torbellino de lujuria y absurdidad, condenados a seguir consumiendo hasta que no quede nada de nuestra humanidad... o de nuestros arcades.

Muy divertido, tiene los esenciales de pelea y con hack hylo, tengo todos los capcom y las clásicos Arcade de mi época

me hacía mucha ilusión este artículo ya que al no tener el espacio para tener un arcade en casa, esperaba con muchas ansias poder ponerle las manos encima a este producto, al jugarlo pornprimera ves note que la palanca hace un clickeo bastante molesto, los botones no me agradaron del todo, eso sí mencionar que los juegos van bien en general no hay delay, los botones de start están acomodados de una forma pésima, ya que no se ven y para pausar o cambiar de juego parece que estás adivinando. al final opte por hacer un upgrade de la palanca y botones por unos sanwa y debo decir que la experiencia de juego mejoro muchísimo, aunque tuve que gastar unos 2mil extras, pues quizás solo así lo vale ya que esa era la experiencia de juego que esperaba desde un inicio, pero que si no está en súper oferta no pagaría el precio de lista.
