Solid little piece of gear that just works
I bought this to help position my lighting in my video setup, and it has been exactly what I was looking for. The clamp grabs solidly, the arm gives me plenty of adjustment, and once I get it where I want it, it stays there. That's really the important part. I don't want to spend five minutes positioning a light only to have it slowly droop out of position. The build quality is excellent and it feels like actual camera equipment rather than a cheap accessory. I also like having the different mounting options because it gives me room to change things around as my setup evolves. For the price, this is one of those purchases where you plug it in, tighten it down, and think, "Yep... that's exactly what I needed." SmallRig makes some really nice gear, and this is another piece that I would have no problem recommending.
