Berard Olive-Wood Handcrafted Pinch Bowl

My wife uses salt in this and keeps it in the Kitchen. Nice finished, and looks really good.

Love the little bowl

The bowl is beautiful, however, it comes in at about half the volume described by amazon. It is true that the diameter is approx. 3"; however, the depth is about 1.5". This makes a huge difference in proportion, though functionality wise, it is still about the same, since Berard simply leaves a greater depth of wood at the base for their higher pinch bowls. Also, take note that the lustre of the bowl is not quite as glossy as the picture, but more of an satin, oil-finished sheen. It also features slightly less of a rounded base, taking more of a cylindrical form. Though it comes with no packaging, as the other reviewer stated, it does have a maker's mark on the bottom.

I purchased this pinch bowl for my brother-in-law, who is a chef. It is beautiful, well made and will last a life time, I would think. It doesn't come in any type of packaging to indicate what it is, where it is from, made of, etc. I'm ok with the no packaging, but if you give it as a gift, you will have to probably tell your giftee the details.

Got these for my wife as a birthday gift and she loves them! Didn't realize they also came with little scoops as well -- neat!
