Worked where other products didn't
We had ants for months, they were in our walls and would crawl out our electrical sockets, cracks in molding and floor, and out every nook and cranny our old house had. I tried using Ant Spray which would work locally for a few days but the ants would just come out somewhere else. I eventually tried the Terro indoor liquid ant bait which worked well but wasn't sufficient to kill the whole ant colony. I did some research and realized I needed to attack the ants outside my house to really get rid of the problem. My wife broke down in tears one day after ants were in our bed, our dirty laundry, in our kitchen cupboards, toothbrushes, and even in the baby's room. I got quotes from several exterminators whom all wanted $200+ for the first visit. I decided this was outside our budget and I would try to handle it myself. I first used the Terro bait granules in the shaker bag, that product did NOT work. The ants completely ignored it. I did put a couple Terro Indoor Liquid Ant baits outside which worked REALLY well but the liquid evaporated away before the ant colony was completely dead.Enter Terro outdoor liquid ant bait. I could see several ant trails outside my house with ants headed into cracks in my foundation. I placed the outdoor Terro bait right in the middle of those lines and the ants went crazy for it. They loved the bait and IT DEFINITELY WORKED. It takes a few days, even a couple weeks but the ant activity around my house is way, way down. I think I've decimated 5-6 different ant colonies so far and I haven't seen a single ant in my house in several days. I haven't seen a line of ants in my house in weeks which is the first time that has happened since we moved in 6 months ago.I 100% endorse this product, but I do have a few minor critiques.1: I wish I could see the activity inside the trap, I like that the indoor liquid bait traps are transparent allowing you to see if there is still bait present and any ant activity. I have had several traps be completely consumed by the ants until there was zero liquid bait left.2: The included stakes for the outdoor liquid ant bait are useless. The plastic can't penetrate the ground here in California. I use a framing nail instead which works well.3: Even though you're not supposed to I opened my outdoor liquid ant bait traps up after they had been outside for a few weeks. The liquid dries out and gets less viscous after a few weeks. The ants still appear to be interested in it and I tried mixing in just a bit of water which didn't work great. It has been hot here (California), but I'll probably have to replace my outdoor bait traps every few weeks just so they don't dry out too much.In summary: I love these outdoor liquid ant baits and they work extremely well. Saved me hundreds by not having to hire an exterminator.

SMILING ---no ants in my kitchen!
This is the first time I've used this particular bait( Terro Outdoor Liquid)to get ‘em & keep ants out of my home. I've fought ants every year foryears. At this point let me say I live in a 2nd. floor Condo. with an outsideentrance, with stairs and a deck leading to the front door. In years past,it was obvious they were coming in through the kitchen window and at theentry door but not this year. This summer has been particularly bad. Ants in the kitchen, ants in the bathroom, also a few ants in my bedroom. I usually only see the bedroom ones when they’recrawling across my notebook screen and I;ve seen a couple on top of my conforter. They’re probably coming up the cord because I usually use it plugged in rather thanrunning off the battery. I don’t see them anywhere else. A few years ago, I saw themon the window sill, but not this year. … ???These are small ants. Some are small black ants (sugar ants) and others are so smallthey're hard to see. In the bathroom, I just look for movement on the floor because they'reso small and light colored. I don’t know what kind they are, I just know they’re there everyday and night. Kill ‘em and the next time you go in, there will be more. There's no problemseeing themwhen they've crawled up onto the commode and when you're in a hurry, havingto get rid of them before taking care of your business… well … I don’t care if there’s one,two or three… they gotta go so I can!I know in the bathroom they're coming in from the wall between my unit and another unit. The kitchen and my bedroom, who knows. There is no distinct trail of them. They're just thereon the counter in one location or multiple. Sometimes I see some on the floor, or along baseboards-- those I think come in from the entry door crawl along the baseboards either on top or behind them.Only one time this year have I seen a distinct trail. They came in from under the front door and traileddirectly to a partial bag of dog food that wouldn’t fit into the airtight container I use to store the dog’s food.I thought I'd sealed it sufficiently. I guess not! That bag was so infested with ants, the food was thrown out.The entry under the door and the wall they trailed up were washed with bleach. hopefully, to kill the trail.I haven't seen any there since so I have to assume it worked. It's probably been a month now since I'drefilled the dog food and had some left over that attracted the ants to it.In the kitchen it’s a couple at a time or 8,10,12 …maybe more. I've been spraying them and thecounters with bleach water to kill them and the smell or pheromones they follow, not wanting to put anypoisons in the kitchen. But.. they keep coming —almost every time you walk into the kitchen, day ornight, there were ants somewhere on the counters. Grrrrr 😡I never saw an obvious trail outside either, neither before or after placing the liquid baits. I put a fewof these liquid bait containers on each of my two decks. The second deck is off the living room. I’ve onlyseen a few ants up there on the rail and never seen any by my sliding glass door. Of course, that doesn’tmean anything, they could sneak in and hide in the carpet en route to the kitchen.I did see a few ants go in or out of the baits the day after placing them outside, but that's it. I used 3 on a23 ft long front deck. One on the decking by the landing and corner of my unit, one on the rail at the oppositeend with a little duck tape underneath holding it in place and one in the middle tucked under a chair. On the small deck, again, I placed one on the rail and one tucked between a planter and the building where Icould be sure the dogs wouldn’t be able to get into it.After two days, on the third day, suddenly there weren't any ants on the kitchen counter or anywhere I’velooked in the kitchen since. I'm holding my breath they don't return. That’s all it took and they appear to begone from my kitchen and entry hall. They're still coming in the bathroom but... I'll get them there too! I bought some indoorTerro liquid baits to use in the kitchen and bathroom but it appears I won't need any in the kitchen.I haven’t placed one in the bathroom yet because I want to wash the bathroom floor before placing there.I’m confident just one will do the trick but, I might use two… one on each end of the wall where I knowthey’re coming in.If you have persistent ant problems like I've had, give these a try. I should warn you, the name says it all. They are liquid. I'd recommend placing where you want them, then push down and make your one-quarterturn as the instructions say to do.I can't be more impressed with the results so far. Everyday, every time, I walk into my kitchen and don’t seeany ants, I smile.

Works great, but use the ideas given here for best results
This bait is very effective. It took me a long time to understand how to use it correctly.Don't put the bait in your house - I didn't make that mistake.Don't put the bait right next to the foundation - it draws ants to the house.Put the bait away from the house - say three feet to start, but soon ten feet or more. This kills the ants and doesn't draw them to your house. The ants take the bait back to their nest and eliminate the colony. Once colonies are gone then the idea is to draw scout ants to outlying bait. This draws ants from outlying colonies which are killed without being drawn into or close to your house. Using this method I've had almost no ants in my house this year vs. hundreds (or thousands, who knows?) in past years. I also haven't had those occasional those swarms around items in a kitchen cabinet or the pantry.

Purchased this and it helped keep our ant problem at bay. We had a ton of ants coming in our house. Our solution was to purchase these, as well as the Terro indoor ones. This slowed the flow of ants, and after they had slowed down, we sealed up all the holes the ants were coming in from with silicone caulk. We tried just Terro for weeks, and without sealing up the holes, the ants always came back, so keep that in mind. I would have given it 5 stars had it stopped the problem altogether. I will say, we also tried a mixture of borax, sugar and water and it worked almost as well as the Terro.
