Great magnifying glass. I have two: one for the kitchen and one for general use. They're perfect for reading tiny printed instructions. The built-in light provides enough illumination to make reading much easier. Highly recommended.

Excellent, generally, but, unfortunately, I personally found not for macular Degeneration as stated, I attempted to look at pills, could not see numbers on them, macular affects central vision and lights being around the outside door not target centre, I have given 4* as excellent quality and value, as general magnifier.

A really well made magnifying glass enhanced by the LED lights. Excellent for general use, but probably a little heavy for sustained use like reading a book.

This is the best product I have tried for a magnifier. It is heavy but it has perfect optics, much better than any I have tried, the light is good and the magnification absolutely great

Bought for my 90 year old father, unfortunately he's only been using it a week and the switch has failed. Which is shame as it is the ideal size, and uses aaa batteries.

I actually made the purchase last year, much time has passed, since then I have used this magnifier often. It is not the only magnifier I own either, but I really like this one and has become the only one I go to. What originally sold me was the light, and the fact it is powered by regular battery, not unreliable recharging. I guess what I wanted to say is this is a great product for the money. Well, I do not need a magnifier for things other than typically reading fine print and sometimes working with electronics. The magnification strength is high, going straight to details, focuses quickly on specific words or sentences; however, "30x" is not the right kind to read a book (for example) — for that a lower level would help. The LED lights are not glaring or overbright, they are perfect for close up viewing. It has a plastic casing that seems very durable... I have not dropped it yet though I do believe it has a good chance of not suffering any damage. Furthermore, I am still using the original two AA Duracell batteries I installed, and they should last a year or longer easily (eight months already).
