I will use it for cutting soap

It is a nice weight and comes with the cutter. (I thought it was just the mitre box). Sturdy and smooth. This will be perfect for soap making.

Gets the job done

I absolutely love this product! It cuts the perfect size soap bar with little effort.

This box is merely adequate. I can’t say much more. It is study and easy to clean, but my biggest disappointment came from learning that all the inside corners are rounded, which means your soap won’t sit flush against the sides without compromising a nice, tight, right angle in a newly unmolded block. This is just a matter of personal preference for me, but I think that one of the foremost qualifications of anything designed to mitre are crisp 90 degree angles against which to seat your work for cutting.

Exactly what I was looking for!

This cutter is horrible! All my soap bars came out different sizes. I had to return and buy a differnt one. Dont waste your money.

Problem #1: Soap is too high, so you start cutting before you hit the slots.Solution: Put the soap on it's side.Problem #2: What am I supposed to align it to?Solution: Aligning it to the end doesn't seem to work well. It works better if you push it up against one of the sides. The corners are kind curved and this doesn't work very well.Problem #3: The cuts still aren't straight because the slots are too wideSolution: I have no solution to this.Problem #4: The cuts aren't clean and leave splotchy smeary mess.Solution: It kinda helps to slide the soap off of the cutter, but it doesn't work very well.I wish I would have just bought a wire cutter.

I purchased this miter box to cut my handmade soaps. As soon as I saw this stainless steel model, I was sold. Not only easy to clean and was sturdy, it allowed me to create more uniform sizes when cutting my soaps.Plus it’s gorgeous to look at.
