Philips BRE285/00 Compact epilator with Opti-Light for Legs, Arms & Underarms - Corded

My skin is pretty sensitive & a friend of mine told me that it would hurt but honestly, it wasn’t much painful. On the scale of 1-10 I’d say the pain was 2. I prefer using it after showering with hot water & exfoliation & without any moisturiser applied. Pro tip: try doing it when you have less hair & minimum hair length for the tweezers in the machine to grab the hair & pull it off. So maybe try it a week or two aftershaving. I really think it’s a great product. Also pain sensitivity varies from person to person. Also has a pretty long cord.

I recently got my hands on the Philip's , and I have to say, it's been quite a positive experience. It is a great choice if you want an efficient and precise way to remove hair. It's small, handy, and those little lights are a real bonus. While the sensation might take some getting used to, the smooth results make it worth it. Plus, you can use it cordlessly, which is a big convenience. Give it a shot!

I have always been a waxing girl from the very beginning... never used razor, hair removal creams and any kind of stuff too... so firstly using epilator is best way to avoid waxing... especially this Philip's product has blown my mind... it removes small hairs from the roots..Pros1. unlike other epilator in market this comes with various add ons such as bikini trimmer+ shaver, glove, trimming head, bikini trimmer comb, massage cap, small brush and a pouch2. It comes with a charger and has every long wire so no need to use any extension..3. Epilator had can b detached and cleaned under running water to remove any hair stuck inside to maintain hygiene..4. Small brush provided removes the hair struck in the epilator head..5. epilator body comes with inbuilt light which helps to spot and remove small hairs too..6. It has two speed settings and can be used depending upon the hair growth as well as skin texture7. Two years warranty on the product..8. If u r a waxing person then the pain caused by epilator is nothing when it comes to hot waxing..it just pricks as it removes the har from the root9. It creates zero waste unlike waxing which is eco friendly..Cons1. Pouch is not much durable...2. It cannot b charged and used like other trimmers.. totally runs on electricityFew tips from my experienceI have directly used the epilator head on my hands and legs at 1st speed as it was my first time.. and I was awestruck by the result... it doesn't remove the hair in one go.. u have to do it with patience for best results..Use some talcum powder so that it hair stands without sticking to the skin..No moisturizer or any creams on the skin before using the epilator as it clogs the pores and also the hair sticks to the skin which makes it a difficult processSo have a bath and then dry ur skin before using itUse the epilator in 90° position for effective results.. I have personally tried it in slanting position too.. but felt it removes the hair better in 90° positionFor sensitive areas be extra careful and use other heads such as bikini trimmer and shaver to avoid unnecessary painI have not yet washed the epilator head as it is cleaned by using the brush itselfFinally it's a good bye for parlour for hair removal

The media could not be loaded. It's nice for epilation for trimming and shaving.... It comes with three heads and two speed setting... Inbuilt light and a adaptor with long cord... It's easy to use... But if you are new to epilation it's important for you to know that this hurts a bit... And if you are okay with that then you can go for it

I have used philips satellite earlier compared to that i didnt feel this Epilator is any effective and it has hard time adjusting to the body to get the grip of hair. Not happy with this. It takes lot of time to even epilate any hair strand, which i didnt experience with my earlier Epilator. Old epilator could do the job so well even the just popping hair strand also can be epilated. But this philips BRE 285 doesnot do the job.Tried trimmer it was okay. If used with comb you will not even understand what is happening. So i had to remove comb then it did okay job and u can choose. Anyway u do not have option for trimming levels.Didnt try shaver head yet.I wanted to actually buy philips BRE 235, but got this because of the extra attachment and flash light.So this flash light will be little obstructed if the Epilator is run other side due to different directions of hair growth we have to hold in different directions and u will not be able to see anything with that flash light, its useful only if u run the Epilator towards your direction.The cord is little small compared to earlier one and body is bulkier and even the head is buliker than my old philips satinelle because which it doesnt fit on the body right much to get the hold of hair. Sadly its a tossed purchase.This feels like plastic and its light in weight, philips satinelle has strong bodyOverall an average purchase, not great Epilator compared to my earlier one feeling money is wasted as its double the price and doesnt do the job right.

Philips has always been a trusted brand. The epilator is soo easy to use and the inbuilt light it has helps to detect even the smallest of the hair. I have sensitive skin but it works the best on my skin. The heads are detachable so it is easy to clean under running water without any hesitation. It's true value for money. Highly recommended.

All the items are used even the cord is used one.Packing is the worst. I could even see hairs on all of the tools. Such a disaster!!!!
