Sashco Transformation Log and Timber Stain, 1 Gallon Pail, Red Tone Dark (Pack of 1)

I tried this product after doing a lot of research on house stains. I have a log home and four buildings with matching log siding. I was having mold/mildew issues on the north side of my house that I could not resolve with the previous stain. I also needed a stain for the three new buildings that I had put up. I first stained the three buildings and was very happy with the finished look. I purchased the medium brown color and I'm very happy with it. I like the semi-gloss appearance and it definitely seems to do a very good job of protecting the wood. I then stripped the stain from the north side of my house (total of five walls) and applied this stain. Everyone who sees the house comments about how nice the new stain looks. The old stain worked well for many years and I have no problem with it other than the issues I was having on the north side of my house. I still have a number of gallons of it and will continue to use it on the south side. I intend to strip and replace the stain on the east wall next year and the west side the following year. I also plan to strip and replace the stain on one of my outside buildings next year (the one that has the same stain as the house). Hopefully I will not experience the mold/mildew problems with this stain. It is more work to put on the first application, as it requires two coats applied 24 hours apart, but that second coat makes a huge difference. I would highly recommend this stain.

Very happy with the product.I've used it on a log cabin 3 times now, the only product we've ever used on the cabin, with excellent results in both application, and wood protection.5 stars on that.Other comments... Packaging for shipping can't be completely idiot-proof, and some shipments are bound to encounter an idiot somewhere along the line (even FedEx).With this shipment, the 5 gallon can had taken a hard hit at the top.There was minimal leakage in the package, but the can was jacked and it was impossible to reseal the lid.Having another container to store leftovers, I can't get too unhappy.So, leaving the review at 5 stars, despite container damage during shipping.

Stain is great, covers well and seems like it will provide good long term protection. Stain was well packed and padded. Arrived on time, and price was competitive with local supplier

This product was perfect to use on our log cabin in the Tennessee mountains. We love they way it looks on our cabin. We used a brush to apply the stain and looks great. We applied 2 to 3 coats to protect our log cabin for many years. We cleaned the logs with a pressure washer before applying the new coats.Thank you,Greg

We stripped and reStained our log cabin and it looks amazing!!! I wanted to see a little semi gloss finish and I got it. I understand it will fade away In time but I love it. I think the stain is a little darker than the swatch so send away for the test kit first.

After extensive research we chose Transformation Log Stain. The cabin had a prior gunstock colored hybrid stain. After a power wash the light brown Transformation Log Stain went on beautifully, smoothly, evenly and easily. Two coats and it looks great. Could not be happier.

We have stained our cabin now 3 times since we built it 21 years ago. This time we used the Sashco product CPR to strip and clean the logs and a Colorfast pre-stain before using the Transitions stain. It was a lot of work but it came out better than ever. Highly recommend their products!

The Sashco brand stain was recommended by our log supplier and man was he right, this product is amazing. We used Transformation log and timber for the initial stain and for maintaining our pergola and it restores the logs to their original beauty.
