Tadpoles 9-Piece Natural Wood Grain Playmat Set, Brown

Loved it for a week. When you rub the surface, your hands get small black pigments. Not sure it is safe for babies..

Despite the wood grain print wearing off quickly, at least they are brown and they are soft. That's all I can say positive about these mats. We combined 2 sets and the colors were so different between the two sets, it didn't look right, even when they were new. One set is more yellow and the other more red. I purchased this same brand but a larger tile mat size and the painted wood grain came off on my son's feet with primer attached- poisonous! I returned those but kept these because we need something. I wish there was a better solution to pad hard floor areas for young children and still look decent- not one of those obnoxiously colored playmats that screams "my kids rule my home" or the stuff from the hardware store that screams cheap diamond plate foam workshop mat.

I love this mat! We have a very rustic/coastal house & I love how it blends with the decor. I know kids toys are colorful & bright but for something that's left out 24/7 it's nice to not have another "sore thumb". Some reviews complained of the print wearing off but so far I haven't had any issues at all & it appears to be well made. I used seventh generations natural disinfectant or just water/ vinegar to clean; I imagine bleach may be to harsh & the cause of the color being removed... Overall I highly recommend this mat.

A soft cushion for baby to land when she tips over. The wood grain is exactly what I was looking for and is a close match to our hardwood floors. This is a great alternative to the bright colored playmats that are typically seen, but not what I had in mind. The grain in the middle square is starting to fade a bit, due to frequent rubbing against, but can be switched out to another piece, to spread out the the wearing off.

I am currently using this as a play mat for my infant. When we received this item, we had to wash it and let it air dry on our screen porch for several days before using it in our home due to the smell. Now, the smell is gone and so is the pattern on multiple tiles. My baby has worn off the pattern where She typically sits down and we have only had it for several months. It has worked well for us as extra cushioning on the floor but I am just disappointed the the pattern wore off so easily. Also, the edging doesn't work well when putting all the tiles together, leaving multiple edge pieces overlapping.

This is a beautiful looking playmat, and does the trick as far as softness goes. My two gripes about it are that there are separate thin pieces to create the edges and corners. This makes it nice and versatile if you wanted to buy multiple sets and set up different sized mats, however, if you have a curious little one, ripping these little pieces off is an easy thing for them do. This, then, opens the door to pulling up the rest of the mat. Also, while the mat itself seems to be somewhat water resistant, the design is not and even a few drips of water, if dabbed up immediately, leave a permanent mark. This quickly turns a nice looking playmat into a watermarked mess. The mat itself is very high quality and seems like it will last a long time, but the design is ruined in one shaking of a sippy cup. Admittedly it's disappointing because of all the playmats out there, I really love the look of this one.

Got these for a Christmas gift for my toddler grandsons, who have two chairs and a teeter totter currently sitting on the two sets of pads. The color and style is delightful and matched the grey walls in the home perfectly. I have read the color easily comes off, but we'll have to wait and see on that. Too new still. But at first glance, everyone was impressed. They are cushiony, for which I am grateful, and I enjoy standing on them, as a grandma. :) Would buy again and hope they hold up well, color and all.

Awful. I loved how it looked online but once I put it together I was quickly disappointed. The end piece/edging designs do not all go in the same directions as the pieces they attach to. I had this for less than one month and then had to throw it away ( I wouldn't even donate it in fear that another baby would get covered and stained in the dirty looking printed design) the wood grain design is printed and rubs off super easy. It came right off when I would wipe it down with natural disinfecting wipes, something that you have to do with baby play areas. It was awful, my baby also had black hands, feet and knees from whatever they used to print the wood grain. We ruined plenty of clothing too before I realized the stains were coming from this mat. My feet were black from walking on it after only a couple of minutes of play. I am an avid Amazon prime shopper and I usually do plenty of research on every product I purchase. Unfortunately I bought this based on the look and did not consider the durability. The foam padding itself isn't even sturdy/comfortable. After trying three different play mats I strongly advise against this one and the mats that have pop out shapes ( unless you like cleaning a bunch of separate pieces of foam) and would say spend the money on the skip hop mat the first time around.

Looked awesome at first. Lasted less than a month before the print wore off in multiple spots. I only cleaned it by wiping with a damp cloth, so there should be no reason for the print to rub off so easily.

Nice colourful thick playmat. It’s not as big as the previous playmat I bought (different brand - unfortunately it’s discontinued) and it was $2 more but to fill the space for my sons play area and to keep him off the cold floor it’s a good product.

Finally, foam mats that are nice and 'non-kiddy' pattern. Just started to use them today. I'm not surprised if the print pattern isn't as durable, and may start to rub off as a child's playmat. It's very nice, and the size is what we wanted.

I currently use this playmat for my 7 month old son. I really like how it fits in with our decor, but it also is thick enough to keep him safe when he is playing on the floor with me. I also like the fact that there was no odor emitting from this mat (unlike other mats which could smell strongly like rubber). I wish it was larger though, and I do worry about the pattern getting scratched because it is only on top of the mat. Overall, it is a great mat.

Hardly lasted 3 months before fading away, i only swept it and hand washed with a vinegar solution weekly. I emailed the company but i imagine they decided to ignore me as they never bothered to respond.

This mat looks great but the faux wood finish is coming off. My baby has been putting the foam borders in his mouth. Not happy with this purchase. And i bought two sets to cover more floor area. Not safe for kids.

Looks just like the picture. It blends much more nicely than traditional foam mats. We have used it quite a bit so the colour has worn off the centre of the mat

Amazing reclaimed wood look. Its perfect for my basement laundry room and keeps the cold from coming up through the cement floora

There's no coating, so the pattern wears out quickly. Unwipeable.

Wish it was a tad larger but it's greatm soft but not too soft and doesn't have any chemical smell to it

Really easy to clean and stay together.
