This is the best replacement Ink for my Brother Printer
This is the best replacement Ink for my Brother Printer. All of the printer manufactures are SCAMMERS. My Brother printer is an OK printer but they SCAM you when it comes time to purchase ink. The factory ink state that you will be about 500 prints before you need to replace the ink. This number is no way near the truth. I have two of the exact printers and I was getting about 50 prints before I had to replace the ink. Here comes the SCAM part. The printer tells you that you are out of Black Ink and you need to replace the Black ink before you can continue to use the printer. I mean the printer actually stops working. It will not allow the printer to print even a blank piece of paper. You run down to your big box store and give them 25.00 for just the black Ink and you install it into the printer. One would assume that you will be back up and running printing. NOPE SCAM number TWO. The printer knows that you have replaced the Black Ink and it tells you that now you have to change all of the Color Ink cartridges before it will allow you to print. Before you went to the store to purchase your black ink the color cartridges all read FULL and no need to change them. But the second you change the Black Ink the Color Cartridges all change to Empty and will not allow you to print at all. You can't even print only in Black. The printer actually shuts down and gives you all kinds of printer errors. You think something is wrong with your printer or connection to your computer. Nope it just will not allow you to print at all until you replace all of the ink cartridges at the same time. This is a BIG SCAM and they charge you a total of 100.00 for all new factory ink from Brother. And all you get are about 50 prints not the 500 prints they quote on the package. I think the company should make this information available to the general public. I don't mind having to replace all of the ink at the same time and even pay 100 for the new ink. It is they you are never informed as the customer. They are a bunch of SCAMMER.Here is the best part. I found this Package of 5 ink refills for my Brother printer I put them in and have not had a single problem. And this package even came with two Black cartridges all for 16.00. I am not really sure how many sheets this ink will actually print but at this price point I don't really care. And the best part is the Print quality is excellent. You can't even tell any difference from the factory ink. A lot of the after marker ink is junk and you get all kinds of lines in your prints and they look terrible. So far my prints are exactly the same as the factory ink. Anyone in need of print for their printer I highly recommend this company and their ink.

Relieved to depart from OEM prices
This was my first attempt at trying non-OEM ink in 20+ years of ink jet printers. I was thrilled that the printer recognized this ink immediately. I can't vouch for longevity yet, but the printing is perfectly clear. I am happy to cut the anchor of high ink cartridge costs on my pension budget and almost can't believe how well the OfficeWorld cartridges work in my Brother printer. Have already told a few family members about the great quality of these cartridges - hope the other two colors works as well.NOTE: My printer was no longer printing black ink, so assumed it was out and ordered these cartridges. At first, the new black cartridge still did not work, so assumed bad cartridge - NOT the case. It was never empty ink, it was dried print heads and lines, so make sure you follow all the YouTuber's instructions for cleaning/ flushing print heads. Once I flushed the ink and cleaned the heads, these cartridges worked great. I am now following the suggestion to print a test page at least once a week to keep the ink moving.

Be sure your firmware is up to date.
I had to replace the cyan and yellow cartridges in my Brother MFC-J480DW, it took several tries of in and out with the new cartridges, and finally it accepted the yellow, but even after unplugging the printer, the cyan would either not recognize or kept saying it was low. I had been ignoring the firmware updates message (because a previous Epson printer quit accepting even true Epson inks after an update) but figured I had nothing to lose as this Brother printer wasn't going to work as is, so accepted the firmware update, and voila -- it recognized the cyan and now works again.

Worked fine with some work
EDIT UPDATE: After hearing from the vendor, who were great and offered to refund or replace the defective cartridges without me having to send the originals back, I tried re-seating the Magenta cartridge again. After 4 or 5 additional tries, something finally clicked, and the printer recognized the cartridge. I installed the Cyan and Yellow cartridges too, and they also gave me the same problem. Fortunately, ejecting and re-seating them multiple times until they were detected worked for them as well. All's well that ends well, I guess, and it's worth putting up with the hassle (for me) to save $50 over the genuine Brother cartridges.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The description for the cartridges state that they are guaranteed to work with Brother model #MFC-J485DW. I installed the magenta cartridge, and the printer would not recognize that it was installed. I tried updated the printer's firmware/drivers with no change. Product did not work as advertised; 1/5 stars.

Cartridge recognized and seems to be working...
Black ink seems to work fine so far. Nearly impossible to get the plastic film off the ink nozzle before inserting into printing (I had to use an exactlo knife and got black ink on my fingers). Maybe the file is not supposed to be removed? I don't know. No instructions with regard to the ink nozzle. Maybe the printer punctures the thin plastic film? I don't know. Some feedback would be nice so I can install the 2 other cartridges that are currently running low.

Work great
I have bought these twice now and they work great with my brother printer. On first install, or if my printer gets unplugged, it will sometimes stop recognizing the cartridges and refuse to print. But once I pop them out and back in, it works again within a few attempts (and then they work for months and months without issue). Print quality is great. Also, when the ink is low, you can cover the window on the cartridge with electrical tape and the printer will continue to use them so you can wait to switch them until they are actually empty. I plan to buy these again.
