Q: Whag kind of steel is the blade made out of (high carbon stainless steel is not any steel alloy I've ever heard of)?

I can tell you that the blades are stainless and that they do hold an edge very well. I am a hobbies and a farmer so I use a pocket knife as a tool. Also it is very easy to sharpen back to a shaving edge. I'm planning on buying another larger one for my larger tasks.
