Recommend purchasing the 64oz mason jars as well
I've made about 30 liters of cold brew since getting this. I was making it in a pitcher for ease of pouring, but I had to put in "spacers" in the pitcher to make sure the coffee is completely submerged in the water while still keeping the correct proportions of water to coffee. I finally bought the 64oz mason jars that this was designed to be used with. I highly recommend doing that right away. Simplifies everything. One full filter to 1500ml of water (marked on the jar already)

Lid won't tighten
All was good until I tried to put the lid on. It wouldn't tighten, just kept spinning around. Luckily I have many wide mouth Ball jar lids and rings.

Ok product
The stainless steel lid does not tighten and the filter may be better for cold brewed tea than for coffee, as relatively fine coffee grains do go through.

It's OK, leaks due to poor design
This product does what it's supposed to, infuses coffee with water. What lets this down is the lid, and accompanying seal. The silicone is thin, and the lid contains now pressed ridge to fit the silicone in. This creates a very poor seal between the filter and the lid. When you shake or tip the jar, it will leak.Recommend using an actual mason jar lid.

Easy, simple, functional.
Easy to use and easy to clean. Durable and I like that it fits in inexpensive mason jars which are easy to replace and offer the advantage of having multiple storage jars going at the same time while brewing another batch.

Five Stars
Perfect all except the cover leaks a small amount of coffee

Either my nose and taste buds are clearer or this works better than letting the grounds soak in the bottom of the jar.
I bought this to save my septic system. I had always just put the grounds in the water in my 2 qt mason jar and shook it up every so often during the 12 hrs then poured it through a strainer into another container, keeping back as many of the grounds as I could, rinsed out the 2 qt mason jar and poured the used grounds with the rinse water down the drain. So easy.Coffee grounds degrade, right? Well maybe not fast enough for a septic system so I bought this item. Now I just lift out the grounds and let them dry in this screen/filter and dump them into the garbage. With a quick rinse this filter is ready to go. I will wash it with soap after a few batches like I did my other filter. I don't have a dishwasher so it will be washed by hand. The coffee flavour and smell is more noticeable. Either my nose and taste buds are clearer or this works better than letting the grounds soak in the bottom of the jar. It will easily hold 2-3 cups of grounds. However, if you leave room, the grounds will be able to move around more freely when 'swirled'. I did 'swirl' the water and the grounds around a few times in the 12 hr soak. The filter sits on the lip of the jar and comes to within 1 1/2 - 2" from the bottom of the jar. When I received it I only rinsed it with water while wiping it with my dishcloth. I have serious digestion problems and with just this simple cleansing I had no issues. My filter arrived almost a week before the predicted delivery date meaning it was shipped out without delay. Service I can recommend. Watch the price on this. It was 20something when I found it. I wasn't able to buy it right away and when I came back to buy it was 60-80something (not a price I will pay). I can find a cheaper route to dry my grounds. After 2 weeks it was back to 20something.I am very pleased with this filter and highly recommend it.
