Works as expected.

The rings are shiny and great looking, and there are a bunch of sizes so that you can fix almost anything. I used them to assemble coffee pot signs on chains for church. You can use those single circle closures and they might look better for jewelry, but these are at least as strong as the chains and pretty much can't come off or be the weakest link. You could do all kinds of keychain things or make little retaining chains or attach magnets to a chain, endless possibilities, many of which will show below it on the screen as suggestions. For me at least, this is basically a lifetime supply, but either way it's a great value. There are lots of these on here but this one came with the tool for only a little more than the bare tool was going for. The tool is amazing, it prevents a lot of potential fingernail pain, or playing with razor blades, or having to push really hard. You just clamp if down on the ring and the ring opens enough to slide things under one end of it, then you withdraw the tool and work the item around like you normally would. I think it would make a great gift for crafters in your life or tinkerers too--it's kind of right on the line between pretty for jewelry and strong for functional items.

The tool is nice, the containers are nice, the rings are ok. This is my first time working with these type of rings, it has taken quite a while to get the hang of it. The first 20 or so launched across the room when I tried to squeeze them open with the tool. The second batch stayed open but ended up a bit deformed when I was done. It may be user error more than the product. I do feel like the silver ones are going to tarnish over time, which is why I’m giving these a 4/5.

This item works great. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to open the rings using the tool.

Does a great job

Every time I attempted to use one of these tiny little rings to repair my jewelry, they flew across the room. I have been picking up these tiny rings or vacuuming them up for several months. My advice to anyone would be to bring your jewelry to a jeweler to be repaired.

I had to bend these rings open and squish them closed to use them, but if you don’t mind the hassle, they are far more secure than regular split rings. I used an additional set of pliers to pry them open.

The package came on time and was well packed. The split rings are a good value for the money. The pliers are too tiny for these split rings and doesn’t hold the ring open. They need to make the pliers tooth a bit fatter and wider. The split rings are of a thin gauge, which is exactly what I needed. I don’t use jump rings because I don’t trust them. They bend open fairly easy and I prefer using split rings on small lobster claw clasps. This ring fits through the tiny hole and it is sturdy. I’m very happy with my purchase!
