This was worth the money spent. The lights are so pretty and it shines all over my baby's room, it's a bit smaller than I expected but it still shines and rotates. As far as I know there is no remote control so I'm not sure why Amazon wants me write about that. You can set a timer for it to turn off and that's super nice, I can set it for 20-30 minutes and my baby will be asleep by the time it goes off. I like that there's a cover to make it a night light instead of a projector. I'd say it's a quality product overall. Updated review; I've only used this product a handful of times and the green and blue projector lights went out and the white night light stopped working. I bought this item in early June and it's been less than a month of having it, we might have used it 9-10 times for 20 minutes.

Got this for my girlfriend because she loves astronomy and she ended up loving this thing more than I thought she would. It is cool to see it on the ceiling and is relaxing to see. The motion setting does make the both of us nauseous. The timer is a nice addition, especially because the bulbs are not replaceable. The dimmer is not actually a dimmer, it is supposed to turn the device into an actual nightlight without the stars. It is insanely bright if you look directly into it, so don't.... It can get a bit repetitive, but kids won't really seem to mind, after all it is better than putting all of those cheap glow in the dark stickers on the ceiling. The batteries lasted us around 12 hours of use which is pretty good for a lighting device. We now use the USB adapter and no problems at all. It has a few color options and a ton of settings and features. For the money spent on this, it is definitely worth a buy. I would highly recommend this to parent's of children who cannot sleep or for gadget freaks who like stars and things on their ceiling.

I bought this for my newborn who loves to watch the ceiling fans during the day. We turn these stars on at night when we put him to bed and he is obsessed. It has a timer with 5 minute increments up to 1 hour. You can pick one, two, or three star colors to show at once. You can choose for the stars to be still or rotate around the room. It has both a battery powered option or you can plug it into the wall. It does burn through batteries pretty fast. We use it nightly for 15-30 minutes and have to change the batteries every other week, but if we had a plug close to where we use it then it wouldn’t be an issue at all. The room does have to be very dark for the stars to show up well. If you have a lamp or night light on the stars won’t show up, but since we use it to put baby to sleep that’s not a problem. If the projector is on it does light up to room enough for you to see so you wouldn’t need a lamp or night light on anyways. I was worried it wouldn’t last or would be poor quality because it’s a much cheaper option compared to other projectors but I am very satisfied with this product.

These last a very long time and I use them through the day too for months and months. I am a repeat customer, but not all that frequently because they last and last. It creates a nice atmosphere. I started using them when after my husbands state of health kept him bedridden for several months that i wanted to create a beautiful atmosphere to lift his spirits. He loves it now and we kept it going.

Ok. This thing is flimzy but it works fine. My room looks great It has several very annoying features : 1. To projects start need to take cover over and inside star pattern is this detached plastic half circle plastic , very flimsy and falls off when it going around. It (plastic star pattern) also came in broken , but still works so i didnt bother with return 2. To turn it on u have to press series of buttons : 1. Button in the back to power up 2. Then press timer button for each 5 minute increment u want to lamp to work , Really? so annoying so to start lamp working I have to press at 20 times . (Engineering design issue) 3. Because of issue #2 it cannot be used with SmartHome devices. Only to turn it off 4. Other than 3 issues above it does good job. I like it. Hopefully they will work on improving design

I bought this for my one yo baby girl. She has struggled with separation anxiety and some night terrors lately, which makes bedtime an issue even with a full nighttime routine, etc. We received the Star Sky Night Lamp in the mail today and we absolutely love it. My daughter is mesmerized. It took her a moment to process the entire room illuminated with such beautiful colors, but after a moment or two, she started clapping!!!! For the lights!!! She loves it and fell right asleep tonight, no problem! I wish it had a remote, and some type of music or white noise would be great, but I knew when I purchased it, that this particular night lamp did not include th extra things - that’s ok! For under $25, I say it is totally worth seeing the happiness, smiles, and excitement on my daughter’s face! My 11yo son came in and asked for one himself!!! As an adult, I find the colors rotating very soothing, especially after a rough day. Highly recommend!! I wish I would have purchased it sooner!

Update: The motorized base stopped rotating. Now the stars don't spin around the room anymore. It's a shame because I really liked it. I actually don't have a baby. I ordered this for me and my daughter because we are fun people that enjoy fun lighting. We like this light for singing living room karaoke, playing living room DJ, and funky mood lighting for sitting in the beanbag chair listening to lo fi hip hop. There is a timer function that works but I've only used it once. There is a frosted dome that you can use on top if you just want a colorful night light without a projector. The projector can rotate the stars around the wall or you can set it to be still. There are several different colors of lighting. One of my favorites is the blue and green lighting, which has a psychedelic vibe. The other light show that I like is when the lights transition quickly through all of the colors because it syncs up perfectly with the song Sakura Drops by Hikaru Utada. My one small dislike is that the box says that you can teach your kid "Astronomical Science" with this. It's not an accurate map of the stars ,so don't expect to teach kids the constellations with this. But it is a very pretty and fun mood light or party light, and with the frosted dome on it's a good night light. We are having a lot of fun with it.

Love this lamp, great for traveling and home. Has timer and a bunch of different colors including just white.

I believe it should be cheaper. It will be worth the price if it has a chargeable battery. Besides it has low brightness when it works not from the plug. But when it works from a plug it works good enough

Edit: the unit started to glitch! It randomly turns the light off and flashes zero then completely shuts off. My daughter has gotten use to falling asleep with the stars on and now I don’t know whether the unit is staying on or not after I leave the room. This product is cheaply made and not worth the price. It functions as it should but it feels like it should cost $10 from a dollar+ store. The buttons are loose and have no markers so you have to memorize what button does what. I wish it wasn’t on a timer and there’s no options to omit the timer function.
