Very Pleased So Far
I had a thumb joint replacement on my left hand and a brace was required after six weeks in a cast. I am six days out from having the cast removed and have another five weeks where the brace will be necessary. My surgeon provided a universal brace that was huge on my hand, no padding at all so it was also very painful to wear. After two days, I ordered this brace in my size, an extra small, and it fits my hand well. After six weeks in a cast, my hand is not yet flexible enough to be in any other position except the one my surgeon gave me for my cast. That was a concern for me so I was relieved to find this brace puts my thumb in an anatomically correct position. My incision site is still very bruised and painful and my skin is hypersensitive right now. The padding in this brace is pretty good and would do well, I think, if my hand did not have the bruising from my cast and soreness that comes with surgery. I have addressed this by adding a piece of foam to further cushion the area around my incision. I think this will not be necessary once I heal up more, but the brace has adjustable straps that allow for the extra padding and I am comfortable wearing it. To be honest, I was hesitant to purchase this brace because there were a number of negative reviews, but BraceAbility indicated they had updated the brace in 2019 based on those same negative comments. That impressed me because not many manufacturers seem to do that so I decided to give it a try. It appears to me they did an excellent job of addressing the negative issues. This brace has size options and my size fits, it is well-padded and adjustable without a surplus length of straps hanging over. The ribbed, soft fabric that is under the straps could have been a bit longer for me because it didn't quite keep the straps from lying against the top of my hand. Were my skin not so sensitive right now, I don't think it would be a problem. I cannot speak to the longevity of this brace since I have only been using it for a few days. In my case, if it lasts for another five weeks, it will be money well-spent. I will say it appears to be well made and sturdy. If it turns out otherwise, I will pop back and update this review. For now, I have to say this brace is stellar.

2 months of use and it wore off
It supports my left thumb and wrist but the fabric tore after 2 months. I had another one but that one had lasted longer..

Very study and good guard for De Quervain's Tenosynovitis
I bought this as I suffered from De Quervain's TenosynovitisThe product helps restrict my thumb movement and aided my recovery. It is comfortable to wear it throughout the day and even while sleeping. The material is thick and has limited circulation so u might perspire if not used it in a cool environment. You should use an antibacterial wet wipes to clean if you perspire a lot. I bought this in addition to two different one as this guard is more rigid and I wear it if I am gonna be in an Aircon room the whole day or when I sleep at night.

Some adjustment of fastening straps is definitely required by the manufacturer
Having experience 2 similar falls when on each occasion injuring my left wrist and on the 2nd occasion almost tore the thumb off which required sutures I am now able to wear this wrist brace and will not venture out of doors without it.It not only fully supports my injured wrist, but also provides reassurance of not tearing my thumb off should I have a further fall. The only observation I do have is where the supplier only offers this product in small, medium and large, thereby failing to appreciate that there are a great many, such as myself, with larger hands and thicker wrists. Therefore I have had to tightly fasten the strap closest to my knuckles because it is at least 1 cm too short, but unfortunately this does cause swelling in my knuckles. It appears that the supplier does not offer a larger size than size large. Further, each of the fastener straps are disproportionate in their length for any normal hand, whatever the size of the hand. Put simply whilst my hands are fairly large, they are proportionate to my wrists and lower arm. However, the strap around the thumb should be reduced in length by at least 4 cm. I am concerned not to cut it shorter in the event it may frayMy suggestion to the manufacturer is that the first strap from above the knuckle should be at least 1cm. longer. Further, the extra buckle closest to the arm serves absolutely no purposeI have given it a 5 star rating because (a) I was aware when ordering this support that it was only offered in size large and the fact that the 3 supporting metal braces fit and support the hand perfectly. The delivery was prompt and the item was well packaged.

Not as good as other splints
I had De Quervains Tenosynovitis. I ended up buying 4 different braces. This one was cumbersome and didn't offer great support.
