I always like gardena products, this was expensive, but a lovely bit of gardening gear. A surprisingly big screw in the ground base, which comes with a metal rod. Auto retract is a bit fiddely but a neat feature to keep it tidy. Would recommend.

Amazing, if you consider getting a garden hose. Don't look further, either get this one with the spike or get the one that mounts to the wall. This product is such high quality, I describe it as the Porsche GT3 RS of the gardening world. So simple, yet so quality.

Well, I never thought I'd go all waxing lyrical about a garden hose! This is a great design start to finish. Super usable and entirely practical if you have a lawn or can get it fixed in a new poured concrete base. If you check out the pictures above you can see how simple and effective the design is. All the usual hose 'issues' are solved. It's always there ready. The wind in and wind out functions are elegant. No more tiresome manual winding or (to a marked degree) kinking of the hose. It's a steady, safe motion.Fix it where you want, close to a outdoor tap is naturally ideal, and it's then a feature of your garden. Fixing is fine in grass. Everything is included to screw the base into the lawn. Placing the hose unit itself is easy. You don't need to be a DIY expert. I am also assuming you can do the same in a fresh poured concrete patio say. Of course, if the ground/surface is too hard or soft you may have difficulties, so choose your day or location carefully.All in it's hard to fault this item. Construction, design, function all superior. I suppose price is my only gripe, but you're likely getting the best available hose at this point in time. And it should last if you take care. Solid 4**** for me.

Now here's something different. We have a wall mounted hose in a plastic housing that's about ten years old but until now I'd not come across anything like this Gardena hose which is intended to be fixed into the ground - whether in earth or the edge of a lawn - by means of a spike rather like a bigger version of the kind of system used to install a rotary washing airer.The product arrives in Gardena packaging and would make a fabulous gift for keen gardeners. Gardena is typically a little more expensive than other brands but this is a well known German gardening brand with a deservedly high reputation for quality which since 2007 has been a subsidiary of Husqvarna, an equally reputable Swedish brand.This hose box is easy to install and exudes the kind of quality you'd expect from Gardena. It's well thought out and though I had reservations about the installation fixture, the metal ground spike mechanism worked well.There is a 1.5m connecting hose between the outdoor tap and the body of the hose. Not enough? - No reason why you couldn't substitute a longer connecting piece of your own. The hose, incidentally, is 11mm in diameter.This hose feels sturdy. It's easy to move and swivels perfectly in a 360 degree circle. The hose extends smoothly and easily and with the patented RollControl technology here there's no tangles. When you stop pulling out the hose, the built-in locking device automatically engages at the length you want it. A slight pull upwards and the hose is automatically rolled up.This Gardena hose has UV and frost protection which for me, as the owner of a wall mounted competitor brand of hose is great as my hose has become very much discoloured and the hose end piece has suffered in winter frosts.My current hose, by contrast to this, takes effort to pull out - and to reel in too by means of a manual winding mechanism on the wall mounted housing. This Gardena version takes away all the effort and increases the ease of watering plants.The hose box is compact and looks smart yet unobtrusive in its grey tones - perfectly blending in with the garden unlike some hose boxes which can stand out and mar the overall vista. The hose box has even been adjusted to the height of Gardena mowing robots - if you're lucky enough to have one - so they'll mow the lawn around it without any problems.This Gardena hose box is truly innovate technology. It comes with a sprayer with two different spray patterns - and a long 5 year warranty. A really excellent product, you could of course place more than one hose box within a larger sized garden. Once you try that swivel feature, you'll find it hard to go back to a regular design of hose.

This is simply the best hose box I have ever used. Very solid construction, it was easy to put together and install, and it works very smoothly.It has survived wind, rain, snow, and frost and looks and performs like new. It's gone through a couple of Winters now, and still as new.Not the cheapest, but probably the best I have used and it looks as good as new.

Garden hoseThis hose reel is a fairly standard good quality auto reel that you may have seen before but with one difference. Instead of mounting it on the wall, it mounts on a ground spike. This allows you to mount it anywhere in the garden rather than having to be next to a house or building. You do of course still need access to a tap, but you can run a fixed piece of hosepipe for that.The ground spike is easy to screw into the soil, though make sure you do this while the ground is soft. It comes with a screw handle, which after use cleverly stores in the spike so you don’t lose it. The reel itself can be removed from the spike easily for winter storage without having to take the spike out. The spike comes with a weather proof cap to protect it when you do this.You could mount it next to a house too. This may be useful for those that are not comfortable drilling to fit, or don’t want to pay someone else to do it. No tools are required (except a small screwdriver to assemble the cover).Other than this unique feature, it is a standard self retracting reel. It comes with a short tap connection hose, 3 tap adapters for different size taps and a spray attachment. It uses the standard push fit bayonet connectors so you can use attachments from other brands like Hozelock. It is made to the usual high quality Gardenia standard.

I did quite a lot of research regarding the best self retractable garden hose and this came up trumps. Do not regret it at all. Easy to assemble, everything you need is in the box and ready to go within 5-10 minutes. Good quality materials as well.Delivery was fast as always and i was not disappointed, quality pipe with anti kink and a strong retract even if the hose is water filled, what's more this pivots to the full 180° . The hose reel itself is easy enough to unroll but has a firm rewind that ensures the hose is fully retracted after every use. Particularly impressive is the horizontal slider which automatically and evenly distributes the hose on the reel.Basically I'm surprised I'm so pleased with a garden hose but this pure quality and while more expensive than some others you really do get what you have paid for. The father-in-law has the HozeLock version and he was experiencing problems with it getting jammed on the auto reel every now and again which swayed me towards this. Pay half, you pay twice, ey?Wouldn’t have any other brand now. The Gardena has been excellent - it certainly feels like a premium and well-engineered product.I highly recommend this garden hose you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love my Gardena spike-mounted water hose! 😍I'm a complete "girlie-girl" and not the type to assemble anything. However, after watching a couple of helpful Youtube videos on how to assemble this spike-mounted water hose, even I had no issues installing it! 😁PROS-easy to install. One person can install it on their own and it does help to watch a couple of YouTube videos regarding the installation-super easy to reinstall it in any other grass/ground location if want to relocate the hose reel. Unlike a wall-mounted hose reel, this spike-mounted reel won't leave marks in the ground for long if you want to relocate it (whereas a wall mounted hose reel will require patching up the concrete/wood surface where the reel is mounted and possibly painting over as well to hid any holes from the screws)-the retractable hose reel works smoothly! So many other brands of retractable reels cause jams or kinks in the hose that require manually retraction (that's annoying and defeats the purpose of a retractable reel in the first place). Not the case at all with this Gardena model-it's stylish and unique!! They don't sell this model in any stores here in the GTA so nobody else really has it unless they order this reel off of Amazon. I've already had neighbours and contractors complimenting this hose reel!-you can keep the entire hose reel outside during winter (simply empty the hose reel of any water). However, if you wish to keep the hose reel in your garage/basement/storage during the winter time, you can easily lift the main hose reel compartment up from the base metal spike, keep the base metal spike in the ground during the winter and simply store the plastic main hose reel compartment. I find that convenient so that it saves me from having to remove the ground spike in the Fall and reinserting the ground spike in the spring.CONS-a couple of minor cons: I'm not crazy about the spray nozzle that came with the hose reel. It requires twisting the nob to turn the water off and on which I find a bit tedious - attached is a video to demonstrate. So I "upgraded" and bought the Gardena 7-in-1 spray nozzle where you only have to press the nozzle to allow the flow of water (no twisting of the nozzle required!)-I found the plastic metal tap adapters that came with the hose reel to be a bit leaky. So I bought the Gardena universal metal tap adapter and that solved everything! No leaks, super easy to install, and also metal lasts longer than plastic especially over time with large temperature fluctuations here in Toronto between our winter and summer seasonsOverall I highly recommend this hose reel! Super happy with it!

Eccezionale. Il montaggio su terreno consente di utilizzare tubo per innaffare a 360 gradi. Molto robusto, non teme gli agenti atmosferici, ottimo il meccanismo di riavvolgimento che non sì è mai inceppato in un anno di utilizzo. Soldi ben spesi!
