Its attractive and keeps accurate time. I use it as a desk clock. Its under my monitor screen. The black and silver colors match the monitor. The clock is easy to read, especially compared to the digital time on the monitor screen bar. The clock has a simple, retro look. It makes me smile because it reminds me of the analog clock on my Datsun 240Z many years ago. The clock is all good as a desk clock. I wouldn't use it as a night stand alarm clock. As others have said, its not readable at night. I think there's a slightly more expensive version with a continuous backlight, but I'm not familiar with it. This one has a button to temporarily illuminate at night, which seems a pain. Others have said its plastic and not worth the price. Doesn't bother me. It looks more expensive than it is.

The product listing has a size so its my own fault for thinking this was bigger, so not really a con. I do wish I could get this exact same clock about 2-3" larger. The design is fantastic. The entire outer case and front glass is all plastic but feel nice, it doesn't creak when handling the clock. The timekeeping is solid, plenty accurate. The printed face is awesome, I love the straightforward design of this, and I like the color of the second hand. The clock has a small light in the lower right that lights up when you push down on the whole clock (button is actually on the bottom, you push down and the table triggers the button). In pitch black the light is enough to read the clock, but its pretty dim. The good thing is that because of the good contrast of the hands against the face you can read this clock easily in very dark settings. I can't speak to the alarm because I haven't tried it, I just bought it as a desk clock.

Disappointing. These clocks look great but they are terrible quality. I have bought two in the last two years and both have failed. The alarm stopped working on the first so I moved it to a location where I don't need the alarm. The replacement clock I bought does not keep time. It started running slow (60-80 minutes per day) at the 3 month mark, at which point it was outside the Amazon return window. I've contacted Braun for support three times and have yet to receive an answer. Don't waste your money or time on this cheap product.

I had to replace the battery every couple weeks, which seemed excessive. Sometimes ran out in the middle of the night, causing alarm not to ring on time. Otherwise is perfectly functional.

After multiple purchases of <$10.00 alarms that broke in less than a month, I decided to go for a known brand despite a slightly steeper price. So very glad I did. This little clock works perfectly and has the added value of looking really, really good. How it works is simple and super obvious. And it works well. The light is just bright enough and turns off automatically after a few seconds, long enough to focus sleepy eyes. The face is easily readable. The ascending alarm tone starts softly enough to wake me gently but fully. I could kick myself for wasting money on cheaper alarms.

It's a good looking clock, easy to read, and does work well. But the light is terrible, making it quite hard to read at night. Why couldn't the bulb be behind the face, rather than illuminating across the face? Also it takes a remarkable amount of force pressing down on the clock to engage the switch on the base to turn on the light, enough that you'll probably knock the clock over. But worst of all are the dials to set the time and alarm. They're actually not hard to turn, BUT it is apparently critical to turn them the correct way or you can ruin the mechanism. One turns clockwise, the other counterclockwise, but the arrows showing the proper direction are quite hard to see. I just know that some day I'll turn one of them the wrong way and break it. Why couldn't they both turn counterclockwise like on my other Braun clock?

Looks beautiful and is very quiet for a clock. A bit squishier and creakier than I would've liked. This is, after all, a modern Chinese clone and not the original German design, especially on the inside. Tolerances are also not all that great. To the point that the alarm button in the off position doesn't depress the off button fully. There is just no good way to turn the alarm off when that happens. Snooze "pedal" on the bottom still works, but that alarm is very very loud and very persistent. Thankfully it's very easy to get the thing apart (just 4 screws, no latches or glue) and I was able to adjust the components slightly and put a couple layers of tape to make the button gap a tiny bit smaller, so I'm able to shut the alarm off now, but not sure how long that fix would last. I had the original Braun clock back in the early 90-s and that thing was built like a tank and worked flawlessly for may years. I'm glad I can still buy a clock that looks as gorgeous as it does, but quite disappointed in build quality.

I got White, Model BC12W. I didn't want to hear any ticking sound, and thankfully this clock is silent. Love it. I like that this is small so it doesn't take up too much room on my desk either. I don't use it as an alarm clock but the alarm sound was loud. It's light and small so I could take it with me for the long vacation too. Also it's Braun - not a random brand, so felt safe to have it near me all the time. Some unknown brand have made products with cancerous materials in the past, so now I'm only buying one with known brands, even though some retro looking clocks with random brands were super cute in amazon.

Mir gefällt der Wecker sehr gut. Er ist schlicht, analog, minimalistisch und strahlt nicht. Die Leuchtzeiger und die kleine Lampe sind sehr praktisch. Der Weckton fängt recht leise an und wird dann schnell lauter. Wer dabei nicht wach wird muss echt im Koma liegen. Ob die Zeiger schnell kaputt gehen weiß ich nicht, da ich sie immer nur richtig rum drehe 😄 wenig Funktionen, so wollte ich aber auch, ist absolut selbsterklärend. Die Weckfunktion lässt sich nur auf so 5 Minuten genau einstellen aber das macht mir auch nichts. Den Zeiger höre ich nur ticken wenn ich die Uhr direkt an mein Ohr halte, so leise ist er. Ich schlafe 1 m entfernt und höre gar nichts. Das einzige nervige ist, dass man die Alarmtaste jeden Abend wieder neu drücken muss wenn man morgens geweckt werden möchte. Darf man nicht vergessen. Also insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden!

La sveglia è davvero silenziosa. Le lancette non si sentono. Facilissima da usare e stupenda da guardare. Super consigliata. La doppia suoneria. Dolce all’inizio e più forte dopo alcuni secondi è perfetta per risvegli tranquilli

This is an excellent clock, it makes very little ticking sound and has a good alarm. The first one I had lost time when the alarm was set, but very happy with the replacement which I’ve had for approaching 6 months. Good design.

Braun is good product , i have been using for a long time. This watch is well designed , similar to other Braun products.
