Generally speaking this is a fairly decent shoulder pulley to help with rehab after shoulder surgery. There are a few things I don't like but not enough to bump it down since I found workarounds. The first thing is that the adjustment doesn't hold that well. It will slide when using it. The adjustment sets the pull length to give you a shorter or longer pull. I need a longer pull and thus I need to choke up on the rope. Part of that is the fact that my chair might be too tall but it is a standard chair. The motion is pretty smooth. There is no catches or rough spots. It moves freely and easily in the pulley. The holder at the top also works well and is secure when placed properly in the door frame. So far I'm getting good stretches from this pulley to help my rehab.

This replaces the worn out shoulder pulley I got from my physical therapist about 6 months ago. First thing I noticed, this one is built to last - much heavier pulley, thicker rope than the old one. It operates very smoothly. A quality unit that should last a long time. Very satisfied.

I see a lot of the reviews for this product where it is evident the buyer didn't understand what this was or what it's purpose is. This is not a resistance training device. It is just a pulley. You use it to help raise and stretch your arm/shoulder, by helping with your opposite arm. It's not meant for vigorous movements, either, but for slow stretching. I bought this as part of my rehab on my arm/shoulder. It works as advertised. This particular product is superior in that the part going over the door is canvas and will not damage the door or the door frame. It will also fit different sized doors.

got for shoulder therapy and it works well. I was also able to use the over the door holder to put stretchy pull cords through and it worked will. Also put stretch bands through this and use this over the door attachment to use for the stretchy bands. This has worked well for more than its intended purchase, and helped with home exercises. was able to take it when traveling or to work.

Useful following a shoulder dislocation

The Top sponge weight to put over door should be heavier. Once you close the door to hold it the pulley works just fine. It works okay for shoulder therapy.
