Review: Good build quality but too heavy for hiking - Nice flashlight for home or car. Probably not the best for hiking due to the extra weight because of the magnet. But the magnet is a good feature if you are working on your car. This flashlight is well made and has several modes. The good news is that the flashlight defaults to main highest beam when you turn it on. You don't need to waste time cycling to get it immediately. The other good feature is the battery holder. The main issue with bigger C and D batteries is they can get stuck if they expand and leak due to long periods of unuse. This flashlight uses a tube that holds 4 AA batteries so you never have to worry about stuck batteries in the metal cylinder.
