Crappy installation instructions, with terrible video of black cabinets with black catch. How do you separate the two latch components?

The part with the hook attaches to the door the other part attaches to the frame of the cabinet line them up they will close tight then pull and it will open I used mine in a motor home so the door would stay shut during travel

Not sure. When I ordered them, I also reaceived a good explanation from the seller about placing and spacing on the latches... The latches are excellent, but a little difficult to get lined up right.. Hope you get those instructions in an additional email as I did. It helped a lot. Or alternative, go on line to the company and ask them for instructions and measurements. Not much but hope it helps.
