Yes, if you choose 2CH Mode, the RCA, SPDIF and HDMI output will all have sound.

Will this work if i connect my sound bar optical to the box then a hdmi/arc to the tv to use the remote for sound?

What you propose should work just fine. This is the designed purpose for the iArk. The TV remote then controls the TV’s sound output ( to the sound bar) . The Sound bar may have a remote as well. After setting the sound bar’s output level as desired, the sound bar’s remote can be stored away.

Can i plug in a roku to hdmi-in and hdmi-out to tv's hdmi-in and get roku video to display on tv? then connect this splitter to a soundbar for audio?

That is exactly the intended purpose. I'm using it for a Nintendo Switch, but same concept. Switch goes in, video to my tv and audio to my amp.

Yes if the receiver has optical or RCA L/R input ports. Connect Firestick to iArk's HDMI IN, TV to iArk's HDMI OUT, Yamaha receiver to the audio ports. Choose 2CH PCM as the output audio format on Firestick, and please also make sure Dolby Digital Plus is turned off.
