Mekar 29 Inch Laundry Stacking Kit Chrome Steel Suitable for LG 29-in washers and dryers Replacement Parts (29 Inch)

Stacked a DLEX8100V onto a WM8100HVA both 29" matching washer/dryer and it worked. The holes on the brackets were about a millimeter off of where they should've been, and this caused the brackets to want to move out of place, but once the dryer was on there and the front bracket was installed it is solid. Definitely worth saving money and more importantly faster shipping speed vs the OEM kit.

The front bracket appeared short but it screws in just fine when centered.

Works great. Cheaper than LGs version, and you can actually receive it in reasonable time. When I ordered the same item from LG, they sent me the wrong one, a fact that I unfortunately did not realize until the installers were already at the house. So, I sent it back to LG who then took weeks to reimburse me for their error. I immediately submitted a second, this time expedited order from LG. It never arrived and LG again took weeks to reimburse me. Fortunately, the Mekar stacking kit was available through Amazon and arrived with only a couple days wait. No complaints with Mekar. No complaints with Amazon. Huge complaints about LG. All that said, I love the large washer and dryer from LG.

This stacking kit looked good in the description, but unfortunately it didn’t work for my washer and dryer setup, so I had to return it. It just wasn’t compatible with my units and didn’t allow me to securely stack them. If you’re looking for something that actually fits and works with your specific machines, make sure to double-check measurements before buying this one wasn’t the right fit for me.

Let’s just say this was a giant headache to install. We eventually got there, and it works as intended, but it was a mess. Ours had clearly been used, damaged, then incorrectly repackaged with missing and incorrect hardware. We had to reshape the front piece of metal, and totally jimmy-rig the thing with random hardware we already had at home. Everything was all scratched up, and the adhesive pads are mounted so far forward that the detergent drawer sticks when you pull it out. We had to de-sticky a little section in order for the drawer to slide semi-smoothly (still sticks a bit). It’s definitely one of the cheaper options for a stacking kit, but just be prepared to do some finagling.
