See for yourself in regards to sizing compared to those who complained about sizing. 2" long 5/16 wide.A couple had checks in them, however with glue and a tap in a hole no one will ever know.Packages says 8mm which is close enough to 5/16 as you can see in the Pic.If you do not have a Digital Caliper made with metal- GO GET ONE! Once you have one you will use it all the time.

Fit the 8mm holes perfectly, none are broken, and I damn sure can't break one with my fingers. Would definitely buy again

I ordered 8mm x 50mm dowels. Length was OK but the diameter was not 8mm. Dowels fit too loose on holes made with expensive / precise jig. Measuring dowels they ranged from 7.5mm to 7.75mm. Also quality was not good. MANY of them have defects. See picture for sample of defects. Returned them and I ordered a different brand.

The 6mm X 40 mm fluted wooden dowel Pins from Axe Sickle are a great product at a great price.I'm thrilled they're made from a hardwood.For what it's worth. I'm planning on using them to make mushroom spawning plugs.Looking forward to seeing how the mushroom mycelium colonizes these hardwood dowels and the way they perform when inoculating logs.

The milling on these specific dowels is not very accurate. I’m not too upset because they are cheap. Some are larger and others are smaller and some fit just perfectly. Overall I would say 80% of them are perfect and the other 20 are either too big or small
