Sorry to disappoint you but this camera is not worthy of being used for anything.  I am totally serious when I say I wouldn't have kept this for FREE.  Not only is it not 4K resolution but it's  on even HD.  It's more like watching videos on YouTube of TV shows back in the 60s/70s except its not even that good.  It's hard to explain just how useless this camera is...and for its cost of $80+ you can certainly find video cameras with 100x higher quality.  I own about $50,000 worth of camera/video equipment so I do know what I'm talking about.  I ordered this as a gift for a child and returned it immediately.  Honestly...I could have bought a $10 used cell phone and the HD video quality on that would have been supremely better.  There are nice web cameras starting at $29 that will actually shoot nice clear quality video that looks very nice.  I can't warn you and others enough to just stay away from this camera.  It wasn't good 3nough for even a child to play with so you will be very upset if you buy it.  And I did not have high expectations nor am being unreasonable.  Even if it was free you would never use it.  If you are looking for a portable camera that you can use for everyday video as well as a web cam, then look for a used DJI Osmo Pocket or Osmo Action.  They are small but have exceptional quality.  They are both  $200+ new but I see them used for $100 all the time and those are cameras you will be happy with and keep for a long time.  Spend $15-$50 more and you will be much happier.  Or buy a dedicated Webcam for half the price of this and you will be happy.
