Bought for clock. Works well and looks great. Good sound and Alexa response. Easy to use.Cons: wish clock would dim even more but acceptable. It does adjust automatically to conditions. Bottom ring notification/alarm light is bright. Too bright at night next to the bed. Bought a ring from Etsy to cover it.Light bulb was part of the deal. Smart bulb. It works well with Alexa.

I have a few echoes and I like how handy the clock is. It isn't super bright or big, but it's great for a quick glance at the time. The speaker sounds great too for playing music.When you set a timer it shows the countdown in place of the clock. Nice and unexpected bonus.

Four out of five overall stars because there's several instances where it tells me it can't connect to the Internet, which I remedy by unplugging and plugging the device in again. All things function properly if you simply reboot them. There's times when it pixelates the sound quality, where the sound becomes quite choppy when connected to my 32" Insignia Fire TV in my master bedroom. The lightbulb itself functions perfectly, and is really quite nice to say, "Good Morning Alexa" and the lights turn on immediately. (It surely beats the clap on clap off concept.) Alexa, make the light magenta. Alexa, make the light blue. Alexa dim the light. She knows several colors. Turquoise is a favorite. Red, green. Goodnight, Alexa turns the light off. If you Google how many different colors it can do, you'll get the idea. I do prefer to sync my Bose Revolve Soundlink cone shaped speaker to my TV, without ever having choppy sound. I bought the Echo with the built in clock and to tell you the truth, the clock on the Echo is the number one reason I bought this. It must be plugged into the wall at all times. When the light, or any other light in the room goes off, the clock dims, and I do love that feature. The Echo does not have a rechargeable battery as my Bose does. It also shows the local temperature. My Bose is still my favorite for syncing up to my television and for listening to music One thing I did find quite helpful, is there's an app for Alexa that you can adjust the treble and the base for your Echo speaker to produce a richer sound. It doesn't produce the volume for listening to music that my Bose can. But I still am glad I purchased the Echo with the bulb. I picked it up in December on sale for approximately $34.99 with the lightbulb included. It does sync up with my iPhone.

It's great for at home entertainment and is easily assessable through Alexa's voice activation changing all the lights in the house, and great for playing music.

This is my first Amazon echo dot (4th gen) bought in Q4 2021. It works great with clock and words shown while playing music and listening to weather forecast from Alexa. The sound is loud and does not need to be over level 5 to be heard in entire great room of 500-600 square feet. It works seamlessly with Alexa app. It can feel your sound easily, so you need to face it in front to be heard by it unless you talk much louder than normal voice.

Good audio quality, easy to read display, easy setup, and a built in proximity sensor? I really can’t complain. Only thing I didn’t care for was the new style of power cable but that’s merely a cosmetic change that really doesn’t have a large impact on the actual device especially since the power cord is tucked out of view anyway.

Je me suis débarrassé des Google home et nest que j’avais Alexa est très au dessus des produits de Google,facile à géré facile et rapide à associer avec des produits Bluetooth, ont peu même chuchoté lorsque l’ont veut lui demander quelques choses et elle répond en chuchotant aussi ce que Google ne fait pas,exemple faire jouer une petite musique douce sans réveiller sa partenaire ça marche j’en suis encore étonné après quelques mois vraiment super achat.

Works fine like any other Alexa. The clock is nice. Not very bright and I wish you could tell her to make it brighter. Otherwise it's fine. No issues.

The Echo Dot 4th gen has pretty bad voice recognition compared to the 3rd. Often times the trigger word "Alexa" doesn't even work at all, even when spoken slowly and right next to the device; this is a huge downside of owning this device: frustration.Other than that, having a clock display is always nice.The bundled light bulb has connectivity issue, which the Amazon tech support told me many people have the same issue, so I returned it.
