Can anyone who has actually tested this on an induction burner verify whether it does or does not work? There are conflicting answers here.

Hi there, actually we don't recommend it, the kettle bottom is not totally flat so that not suitable for the induction burner.

Will this kettle nest inside the msr 1.6 l stowaway pot?

The dia. of the kettle is 6 inches. The height at max. point is 4 1/4 inches. The way the spout is on top of the kettle makes it easy to nest inside another pot. This isa dedicated water boiler. It isn't designed to double as a food cooker. The fact that it is so light and compact and does what it does so well makes it worrh while to carry even on a trip up Half Dome. You will always have the cleanest boiling water with no food contamination.

Will this nest in a trangia 25? the trangias are al, so this ss is more appealing to me.

I wish it did! But no. Not a good fit. I have both Trangia 25 and 27 and it's not a good fit for either. Wish there was a good SS kettle option!
