Use these on my outdoor equipment ease to install and work great for quick connect and disconnect of battery makes changing them out faster fit very tight on battery post great price they work well for what i need would recommend to anyone.

We recently experienced a parasitic battery drain on an old minivan. The local mechanic tried to find it but ultimately told us that if he continued we'd owe him more than the van is worth! Of course to us it's worth more than book value - and we'd have to pay much more than that to replace it, I'm sure. So enter this product. I had to cut off the original negative cable connector (I used a multi-tool for that) and then I cut back about 1/2 inch of the insulation. I loosened the bolts on this device, inserted the exposed end of the negative cable into the clamp, tightened the bolts, and then moved on to step 2. The original connector had another ground that goes back, I believe, to the on board computer. Of course we need that circuit completed as well if we want the van to run. So I disconnected that wire from the original connector and used one of the included connections on this device to secure it to the negative cable. So now the cable and computer wiring are grounded to the van's chassis just as before. I then put the connector onto the negative post and tightened it a little at a time. I want the connector to be snug, but I don't need it so tight that we can't remove and replace it without substantial effort. After about 3 or 4 tries I found what I believe to be the sweet spot where it grips the negative post well enough not to move but can be easily removed and replaced. So now when the car is parked we remove the negative cable, breaking the circuit and stopping the parasitic drain. Yes, we lose the time and channel settings on the radio. But that's a small price to pay to keep our 15 year old van running for a while longer. Now is not the best time to be shopping for a new car. For those who had these quickly break I suspect it could have been a case of cranking them down too tightly. The lever that snugs the connector to the post is, I believe, aluminum. So although it can withstand a moderate amount of stress it doesn't have the tensile strength of something like steel. If the connector is too tight the stress placed on that lever to close the connector onto the post is increased, and that lever could snap. That would make the connector pretty much useless. So my recommendation is to slowly tighten that screw a little at a time and test each time until the connector is secure.

Seems solid when installed. I liked the fact that several cables can be attached to the terminal post. Had to buy a terminal crimper and wire lugs but the installation is very solid and organized.

Wanted a quick release terminal for connecting an electric start portable generator to whatever loose shop battery we had available. These work just like cam-lock bicycle seat bolts, easy to adjust and use. Perfect for the job and great quality.

It was not the exactly right size for the battery terminal, so I had to use force to slide it on it. Which defeats the whole idea of quick disconnects. Nothing quick, when it really tight there. Also, I think I tightened the screw too much, and when I was locking it - it broke in pieces. (see picture). It still works and holds. Ok for the price.

Works a dream and quality is very good.

I haven't used them yet but I'm sure they will work great.
