Check this one out...
I bought this not too play chess but to follow famous games from a book im reading. I wanted something that was not too big an also was magnetic. This cost less than £10. I wasn't too bothered about quality really and wasn't expecting too much for this price. Well what a surprise. This is well made and although the pieces are small they are a good size for travelling and look and feel like they cost a lot more! The knights have nice detailing and the magnetism of the pieces are more than adequate for the job. As for the board... It's more like black and gray checks rather than black and white but feels like it could take some rough handling. The board folds in half and the hinges are basically plastic. It could be that over time they could break as these type of hinges sometimes do. Time will tell on that one. The chess pieces are stored loosely inside the board once its closed. Overall though, this is a great purchase. We'll worth the money. A nice thing for anyone intrest in chess to own for what ever reason you buy it..

Great little set—ideal for casual games or travel
Really happy with this chess set. The board folds up neatly and the pieces are decent quality for the price. It’s light but sturdy enough, and perfect for quick games at home or on the go. Great value, and looks smarter than expected. Would defintely recomend if you want something simple and portable.

Nice little board and pieces for the price - I’m impressed
This is a very good chess set for the money. I purchased the 25cm version in silver and gold as I prefer mid-sized boards and prefer colour schemes whereby each side’s chess pieces clearly contrast with the squares on the board board. Just my preference. Honestly, I was quite surprised with the quality of the board and the pieces. I mean, they seemed to look good in the photos, but the pieces and board feel good too. For a £10 set, I think it’s good value for money. What I’m particularly pleased about is the strength of the magnetism. It’s strong enough to be able to turn the board upside down without any piece falling off or even moving - provided that you don’t turn it upside down quickly (but why would you?). My much, much more expensive Millenium electronic chessboard is magnetic, but the magnetism on that is inferior to this board. Once I tilt my Millenium board past 20-30 degrees the heavier pieces start moving and falling off. This board stays together perfectly under more extreme conditions. There’s not much else I can say - it does what it says on the tin. It looks attractive IMO and feels decent quality in the hands, too. The only (minor) thing I noticed is that there was an extra gold pawn, but no extra silver pawn. I wasn’t sure whether the extra gold pawn shouldn’t have been there (a bonus for me) or whether there should have also been an extra silver one, and I missed out. Either way, I’m not bothered by it and I’ve ordered a second set as a spare anyway, so I guess I’ll soon find out the answer to that little mystery…

Great little set.
Bought as a gift, very happy with the set, it has been put to good use at the community centre and folks love the fact it is magnetic.

Travel Chest set worth buying
Bought as first chest set to learn how to play. Compact travel chess set. Decent quality and like that the pieces are reasonably magnetic so as not to be knocked off the board easily. Easy to understand instructions on the box.

Great for weekends away.
A nice solid magnetic chess set. Not tiny, so still good for using at home.

Small
This set came on time and had very fast delivery. It seems like a good set but one major issue is that it is way too small 😔.It is getting sent right back so as to get a larger one.It is only 25cm
