My Fairy Garden Lily Pond

Bought this for my son, who loves to garden. He wasn't thrilled about the fairy aspect, but he spruced it up with some Pokemon figures. The plants sprouted right away and are growing well, but I doubt they will ever bloom. Even in a bright window, they are weak and leggy and falling over. Once I read the seed packet ingredients I knew they wouldn't be great plants for the space, so I had planned on getting him better plants later anyway. I'm still giving it five stars, though, because it was a adorable little kit, with dirt and tools and decorations and seeds, and the wire for the fairy to fly on was really clever. My son has had a fantastic time taking care of his tiny garden. I got my two daughters different kits from the same company and they loved them, too. I even want one!

This product is AMAZING, I bought it for my 7 years old cousin. She loved it! It cames well packaged and with all the necessary tools to work on your Fairy Garden. It is very fun to do it and its amazing how fast they start to grow. The picture attached was less than 48 hr after we planted them and you can see them already growing! This is beautiful, educational and very fun to do. I will be buying more in different models. Thanks Amazon!

Easy to setup. Seeds sprouted just 24 hours after planting! It comes with condensed soil in discs that you soak in water for about 30 minutes to get them to expand. My 5 year old thought that part was a lot of fun. I chose to add about 2 cups of my own garden soil because the amount it came with just didn’t seem like enough. I gave only 4 stars because the “teacup fairy house” is rather flimsy and was slightly deformed so that the door does not close; the seeds are packaged all together, not separately labeled so we could not choose what plants went where. Some of he seeds were the size of like a grain of sand so was difficult to ensure that they werent planted too close together. But the quickness that they’ve sprouted, and the rate they’ve continued to grow is awesome. (1.5” within 3 days of planting) We are using a small “grow light” that I purchased for under $10 which may have helped.

My 5 year old granddaughter planted this garden over the summer. It came with a wonderful assortment of organic herbs, lettuces and greens. My granddaughter dumpted the entire pack of seeds in the fairy garden all at once lol. Within a week we had an abundance of sprouts (too many for the size of the container). After several weeks the sproutings began to die off. I then (not very carefully) transplanted the seedlings into a window planter box. I would recommend planting a third of the seeds that come in the package in the fairy garden so your child can experience the initial growing stage. Once the seedling become 1-2 inches tall I would transplant them to a larger pot so you can space them and give them room to grow. You can then plant a new crop in the fairy garden. I've included a picture of the second crop since July. I recognize red giant mustard greens, arugala, dill, salad greens and I thnk chicory. My grandaughter loves that she can eat what she grew! I picked this up for my daughter’s 4th birthday, and she loved it. She was very excited to play in the dirt and plant some seeds. Unfortunately ours did not include seeds. My wife had a few random flower seeds laying around, and I got an assortment pack with a recent home goods order. We made it work, but no clue what abomination will grow from it. Another concern is there is only about 1/3 the depth of soil pictured on the box. I’m assuming any decent flower would need more than a half inch of roots, but dirt is easy enough to come by.

Got this for my 7 year old Granddaughter for her birthday!! She likes growing things. This is really cute and goes together very easy and grows the cutest little plants within a week or so. Now her job is to check it each day and make sure it has water and stays pretty. Great for teaching responsibility for nature!! Highly recommend it.

This was for my child at Christmas. She was not too thrilled upon opening it, but has since loved watching the plants grow, watering and changing up the squirrel or any other little creature we have thought about adding to the garden. Very cute. Would be great for a gift for a girl anywhere between 4-9 years old. plants grow fast and nice diverse selection in packet.

This fairy garden was a Christmas gift for a 7 year old. She planted it on Christmas day and it showed signs of growth in about 4 days. We did put a plastic cover on it a few days after starting it to help it along. She doesn't play with the characters yet so the garden isn't 'trampled' or plants bent yet. It's been growing for just over a month (in the winter in Northern Canada) and the plants are 2-3" high. It was easy to put the pieces together, easy to fluff the soil following the directions and easy to grow. Cons: -there seems to always be some light mold on the soil, even though we try not to over-water and let it dry out before watering again. However the plants don't seem to mind at all and are thriving. -the provided soil didn't quite fill the bowl enough so the river and bridge toys are suspended over the soil and are not resting on it like it should be. Easy fix is to add a bit of soil yourself. -the plants were fragile babies (as expected) for a month so it might not be a good idea for impatient children who need to play with it immediately. I would recommend this to anyone and I will purchase it again for others!

I bought this for my 5 year old for Christmas and she loved it! She had so much fun watching the dirt pucks grow and carefully putting all the soil into the garden. The seeds sprouted and she was so happy to watch them grow! She had a great time with all of the accessories as well. Christmas was over a month away and she still enjoys this gift each day!

Came just like the pictures, seeds are fast growing. Such an awesome toy gift as well as an educational gift! My niece loves it!

Granddaughter loved it. We did it together and she had a whole summer of growing plants and playing with the fairy items that came with would definitely recommend for kids. My granddaughters are 3 and 6.

Very cute and fun for my daughter but none of the seeds sprouted. We put our own plant clippings in it and she loves it. I suggest to buy your own seeds.
