Does this carrier fit a kitten or is it ample for an adult cat (8 lbs) ?

I'm not sure about a kitten but I think it would work. My cats are around 9 to 10 lb and it works fine for them.

Does it fit under a delta seat?

It will ..according to Delta under seat 18×11 and size of this carrier 17.50×11
