You will loose sleep trying to track your sleep with this product
This product measures sleep so inaccurately that it is almost useless. A simple fitness band from any make from Garmin, Fitbit to Samsung does a far more accurate job.Pro:Product is nicely finished, packaged and is easy to set up.Idea of not needing to wear or charge anything to monitor is a great one.Cons:Monitoring is so inaccurate that it would record you sleeping till 8 am when you left home at 6.30 am! If this happens 2 days out of 3 you know its primary reason of being a sleep monitor is lost. You start envying the sleep hours of your avatar in the app and such digitally induced jealousy cannot be healthy. The sleep log appears in the form of a band with start and end time but the differences of light and deep sleep whilst marked on the band has no reference to hours/time. You have to figure out what that hour or time could be. Many other apps have a band and all have this basic feature. A dedicated sleep monitor when misses this simple but vital point you know it is a hit/miss design.Helpline if asked why my product is not recording sleep tends to go into slumber and not respond.Software does NOT suggests way to improve your sleep based on your daily data as marketing suggest. They have a static page with tips of how to improve sleep like don's have caffeine before sleep but such tips don't need a $200 purchase. You are left to do self analysis and in way sleep depriving statistical permutations. One suggestion to the company, please use children as your emotional/marketing USP if you really think it would work accurately and truly help them. We owe this to the next generation even if we live in a commercial and material world.

Innovative, kind of awesome, deeply flawed. I'll keep it.
hugOne Sleep Tracking System is a cool device with a lot of problems. They have really great support though and you can contact a real human right from the app.Sleep tracking systems are a pretty new market and it sure shows. I guess you're an "early adopter" if you get one. For my purposes this seems like the best option available. It's reasonably affordable, surprisingly accurate, and the sleep trackers ("miniHugs") are very unobtrusive. The main reason I went with this over the primary competitor ("Sense Sleep Tracker") is that I don't always use a pillow, and their sleep trackers clip to a pillow. Sevenhugs sleep trackers just go under your sheet at the corner of the bed.The problems come with some poor design foresight and a frustrating app.THE APP:It's a very limited app with very little customization or control and not the most intuitive interface. It's a good interface and I can imagine the designers thinking it's intuitive, but maybe a bit ahead of its time. It's really disappointing to enter the menu and see that you pretty much can't do anything but connect or disconnect it and view data. Sometimes it gets my time-to-bed wrong and I'd like to just correct it but no, can't edit the data... There is no way to control the lights except to dim the main one, and now my light doesn't seem to come on at all except the weirdest of times.THE DEVICE:There are two primary components here: the hugOne and the miniHugs. The hugOne connects to your wifi and the minihugs and transmits data. It also monitors air quality. The miniHugs go under your sheet and detect movement, temperature, and humidity. It seems like the humidity always hovers in the mid-60's under my sheet so I kind of think that should be on the hugOne.The hugOne has very bright indicator lights. The base light is dimmable but there's a bright circular light on top you have no control over. The base light seems very hard to control too and mine now stays off most of the time but seems to turn on at random.BIG PROBLEM:The circular indicator light on top, which is very bright, will light up and often pulse to warn you when air particle count is spiking. Naturally, the act of getting into bed kicks up a bit of dust and spikes air particle count. The result is that almost every night shortly after lying down, just as I'm closing my eyes, a very bright and annoying light comes on and often pulses. I can't find any way to turn it off or prevent it from notifying me of air quality so the only solution is to be forced out of bed to open a window and turn on a filter then wait 20-40 minutes for the light to turn off. Sure, I get to sleep with slightly improved air quality, but I think I'd rather just go to sleep without the light forcing me out of bed like a 5th-grader being told by mum to go brush his teeth...

I've been looking for a sleep tracker for a couple of days and I decided to go for this one when I saw it could deal with the entire family sleep! The base station is a beautiful object, we had no problem placing it in our living room. The setup process is quite easy, I just had to follow the instructions from the app. And the whole thing does its job pretty well: thanks to the notifications, you surprise yourself respecting the bed time you set up, and the smart alarm became a must have for my wife and I. I feel like I wake up at the perfect time, every morning, you can really tell the difference! More importantly, it makes everyone's mornings way easier as we know what is the best time to wake up our child. Finally, living in a city, it feels good knowing that our home air quality is good, thanks to this product.

Neat Product - sleep tracker and home air quality monitor
Super neat product - the Sevenhugs hugOne Sleep Tracking System. Took a bit of time setting up and syncing - I had to do it twice, but I think that was my fault since I have a password on my wifi network and probably entered my wifi network password wrong the first time. The setup error didn't tell my I entered the password incorrectly. When I entered my password again, it synced up just fine. I like the air quality feature of it. I have this in my kitchen/dining/great room. You can really tell if you need to do an air exchange after cooking. The app is fine - not the most intuitive, but easy enough. Sleep tracking is great feature too. I never really thought about sleep tracking until i got this. Now - I check every morning. Its pretty accurate - not that I can tell the difference between light sleep and deep sleep, but it is pretty accurate at telling me when I wake up in the middle of the night. My concern with the sensors (b/c they are so small) are accidentally not removing them when the sheets get washed. Hasn't happened yet but I hope the are waterproof and heat proof. When looking at the sleep log (detail), I notice that the app reports the temperature as 22.4 F degrees. I think it means Celsius but in the Sleep summary, it is correctly listed in Fahrenheit. I hope the app gets fixed. Overall, I'd recommend this product if you'd like to monitor your home air quality and track your sleep.
