For about 10 months after reaching adulthood, we tried phasing our dog, Noodle, into different foods from a variety of brands in the 3 forms of food (just dry, just wet, and combined wet and dry), all with the same result: persistent diarrhea or chronically soft poop at irregular intervals. If you have had dogs before, you know that trying new foods can be both expensive and extremely time-consuming. The only thing that would work was the prescription diet from our vet. Our vet is not a fan of keeping dogs on prescription diets longer than they need to be, especially for otherwise young, healthy dogs, so we slowly eased her off of the prescription food onto one of the foods that the vet said was the most nutritional of the ones we had tried. However, even with this she regressed to diarrhea or soft poop. Now, you may be saying to yourself: "your dog must have been eating something on her walks," or something of that nature. But, rest assured, Noodle has been rigorously trained by a professional, not to mention having type-A humans walking her! Then, we found Vital Planet (originally on Thrive Market actually!) and we have not had to buy another ounce of prescription food again! Life-changing stuff really!
