TYR Sport Boys' Solid Jammer Swim Suit

quality is not consistent with past TYR suits that I have purchased. After a month of use there is already a hole in the spandex in the rear end area. At this price point I expect better quality. This is now a pricey piece of trash. I will not be buying TYR suits anymore.

I am very disappointed in this suit. I was confident to buy it based on the brand, but will now be forever skeptical of TYR. The suit has not lasted my child 50 hours in the pool, much less the touted 300! After two months the fabric was so worn that it had to be thrown away. It was cared for in the same manner as we've cared for speedo suits for the last 5 years - rinsed after every swim in cold water - and they always got us through the season. I am shocked it is such a terrible product.

It is about one month after I purchased these jammers for my 7 1/2 year old swim team member, he started wearing them a few days after they arrived on Dec. 13, 2017, and wore them to practice about 5 days per week, excluding the break for the Christmas Holiday. Now they are so faded, I've never had this happen before with TYR. I had another son (12) that swims too and I've bought many jammers for him that have lasted much longer. I'm including a photo I took today Jan 18, 2018, they are shown inside out since the extra material on the inside did not fade, so you can see the difference between the black and now grayish faded material of the entire outer short. We soak the jammers in cold water after practice each night and spin out in the washer and line dry everytime!Very dissapointed!

Definitely make sure you check the measurements. Each swim brand is different. It runs really tight and my son was so excited to have them he squeezed his little butt into them and then after a few wears they split. Luckily it was when we got home and not at the pool.

I bought these as a back-up pair of jammers for my son, so they didn't get a lot of wear this summer. But, they are a great neutral option and I didn't notice any difference in my son's comfort or ability in them. He needed this style for lessons and team pictures with a swim team, but doesn't compete at the meets yet. I like the fact that these jammers don't have a drawstring.

I had a difficult time deciding which size to order and was tempted to go with the smaller size because my son is slim for his almost 12 years so we often choose the size smaller to fit his waist. My plan was to order the larger and if it was too big, I'd order the smaller with the knowledge he'd grow into the larger. The "larger" suit fits perfectly. His measurement was a half inch less than the 26 but it fits. The suits run slightly small but it is meant to be snug and be peeled on and off.Good quality. My son love the suit.

Suit fits well for a skinny little 7 year old. We ordered a size 26. Has been used many times and still looks great.
