SuperMoss (21512) Preserved Sheet Moss, Fresh Green, 8oz (200 cubic inch)

You get bang for your buck here. I bought 8 oz (200 cubic inches). It was more than enough for the Mickey Mouse Moss tree I made for my coffee table. I had a ton left over. The size of the foam base is probably 14x12 inches, and it covered both sides, plus the corners. I originally went to a major craft store and bought a competitors sheet moss for nearly 3 times the price. Their product was so horrible that I went online to discover this gem at an amazing price! The color is fantastic by the way. The competitors was very flat, 1 dimensional, fake looking, and very thin. SuperMoss has a natural vibrant green with good dimension of hues that blend in well to the thick realistic texture. My only complaint is that the stuff STINKS so bad! People reviewed it as "Earthy". I would describe it as "chemically". It could be the methyl hydrate(used in paint thinners) they use to preserve the moss, or the dye. Wish it would state what they use to preserve it so I'd be less afraid to smell it every time I walk by it. Unfortunately all preserved moss brands have some dangerous chemical in it. So it's not entirely a negative. PROS Price, quantity included, natural texture, thick. color is vibrantly dimensional. CONS Smell, does not list method of preservation, chemicals used not listed

The moss arrived in a package of dimensions 10*15 inches, and there are approximately 2 layers of moss inside. This detail is important if you are planning a flat moss art - this will cover about 300 squared inches. The moss is very green on top, and brown behind - not a problem for my moss wall art. There are medium size and small size slabs. Overall I am very happy with the way the moss looks, I can't wait to use it for my project!

Came packaged well. Very pretty. Beautiful and thick…I was expecting less. I got two bags but one bag was more than enough. I gave this product 4 stars because there was a lot of dirt in the bag. Would definitely recommend. Edit: when I got up the next morning, my living room smelled like poop. I’m hoping the smell goes away.

This is a beautiful package of sheet Moss. I would recommend anybody who is interested to buy it just be sure it’s the type of moss you are looking for. Unfortunately it turns out I was looking for what I now know is reindeer Moss. So I had to ask to return the item. Amazon was quick to approve the return which I am grateful for. I do not like having to return anything I order. I am very careful with items I order and handle them with care. But unfortunately in this instance I made a mistake and I did not want to have to ask for a return but I need it to as money is tight just like it is for everyone at this time in our lives.Again it’s beautiful Moss. It’s beautifully green. A secret of florist taught me years ago is when you buy moss of this type. if you soak it in a bowl of water for maybe five minutes, you then squeeze it out gently and then lay it on top of the dirt in your flower pots and it will dry in place sort of like anchoring itself and you also don’t have to deal with dust and debris if you cut it and try to lay it down dry.

I use this to top potted houseplants, tuck into rustic floral displays, cover topiary balls, etc. The moss comes in large irregular pieces that can be torn to fit or shredded a bit to cover more area. The color is good for several months in strong sunlight, but will turn brown over time. I keep coming back to this product for the price and the quality.

Very pleased. One box went a long way. Easy to use the different size/shaped pieces to connect together like a puzzle. Variety of large and smaller pieces worked well together. Shaded area where nothing would grow. Just ordered 2 more boxes to complete the area. Wonderful price considering we were quoted $800 for fake grass by a turf company for that same section, and now for less than $150 we have natural moss growing there! Box came packed tight with moss pieces (moss totally dry but green, healthy and light weight). We soaked the moss pieces in a bucket of water for a few minutes before laying it down and the moss drank up the water quickly and became a bright fresh green. Great alternative for hard to grow/shaded areas. 1 Month Update: QUESTION now for SuperMoss company or other moss growers, can you recommend a product that will kill the small sprouts of grass coming up around the moss, but that is gentle and safe for the moss. I'd like to eliminate the sparse grass sprouts but not damage the moss. thank you!

arrived very dry and mostly brown. I immediates sprayed with a mist and still in 48 hours after using it outside it turned all brown. Not please at all. It was not in the original box. Appeared it has been taken out of the SuperMoss box and put in another box. I would not buy this again.
