The leather feels and smells like durable, high quality leather, and the size is just right. I have a Cahier (5x8.25) and an A5 journal in it, and can still slide a book or another notebook in it when I want to. The pockets on the front and back of the inside will come in handy too. This was a much quicker and more affordable way to get a travelers notebook than some of the options trending right now, but with a little personalization, it feels just as trendy! The elastic is also easy to remove if or when you want/need to switch it out.

I was impressed with the high-quality leather of this piece. It still has the leather slight bend, but is reinforced in the front and back due to the built in pockets. The elastic bands are strong to easily hold 4 inserts, with a securely fitting closure. I easily added a charm to the external closure band. It came with the lovely faint leather smell! I’m a long time journaled, but new to modular journaling. This is a cost effective option that doesn’t skimp on quality; I’m excited to see it patina over time.

This will be my third newestor cover. I have an A5 and passport cover. These are superb! They feel great in the hands, are well made and lovely. These will last for years. The quality and craftsmanship are there. I’m thrilled to have them and highly recommend.

Perfect travelers notebook/notebook cover if you have a lot of stuff. Beautiful, thick, quality leather. It is stiff, but will likely soften with use. Very versatile. Pockets are great, and elastics are nice and thick for durability. I've always liked the modular functionality of traveler's notebooks, but I prefer spiral notebooks for some things. I have been using a KOKUYO Systemic notebook cover as a daily carry for my two spiral notebooks and traditional TN inserts, all A5 size. The KOKUYO setup has worked perfectly for a few years, and I love the organization, but the fabric cover is starting to get a little worn. I was on the hunt for a leather cover that I could simply put my entire KOKUYO binder into to give it a bit of an upgrade. With that idea in mind, I looked at leather bible covers to accommodate the thickness of my full setup. I then came across this one and purchased the A5 size, even though I was worried it might be too small. The size is perfect! It has plenty of room for two A5 spiral notebooks. I also currently have two smaller TN inserts in the elastics, but could easily add two more. Photos show this notebook set up both ways. One way is as the standalone travelers notebook as it's intended to be, and the other way is covering the full KOKUYO. This is a nice, sturdy, quality piece that will last for years. For the price point, I'm glad I took a chance on it. And I wanted to share my review to let people know that this cover can also accommodate spiral notebooks.

I ordered the A6 size cover, and in and of itself, it's great. The outer material is great, I love the not quite fine-grain not quite polished leather, albeit that may not be everyone's cup of tea. The inner-material is as expected, fine-grain texture semi-soft to the touch and so on. To start the critical stuff, I really wish the page contained a size guide or comparison images. I would've gotten a slightly smaller cover had it been easier to estimate real world scale. Additionally, post-purchase I've noticed the inner material tends to rub off with excess ease leaving a stain on certain items when the inner pockets are used (stuff that would have ribs or rippled textures mostly), which is a notable downside, but the damage to the cover itself at least can be fixed by just rubbing it and it blends back in fine to the extent I've had to so far. Additionally the inside material particles rubs off a majority of materials I've dealt with just fine. As far as usability, this is where the minus one star really comes in. I love the design, it's among the only affordable budget covers that I could find following an extensive search that fit my preferences and needs (Multiple pockets of different types, pen loops, and quad holding strings, with blank space left for external clips and the likes.) But the images shown on the store page lead me to believe that the pockets would be far more loose than they are. And that, the pockets being less versatile, is a pretty notable downside for me. It's not a dealbreaker though. All-in-all, for a first-timer with regards to notebook covers, I'm happy with what I got and it fulfills and adapts to my needs well. Just with a few hiccups that stem from some lack of clarity or real specifications. Buy a few butterly clips, and you'll be just fine. If you get one for yourself, don't hype it up in your head, these really are just what you make them in large part.

I had read in another review that pocket-sized (3.5in x 5.5in) notebooks would fit in this passport-sized cover, and that's what I wanted so I decided to try it despite the Q&A responses saying otherwise. It works! In my photos, you'll see 4 inserts - there are three Moleskine Cahier pocket notebooks and the one in the back is a Moleskine 18-month pocket planner. They do go almost edge-to-edge in terms of fit, but I kind of like that. There's still enough space to add some wrap around dashboards or pocket inserts. As is always true with the September Leather products I've purchased, the quality is pretty solid. The leather is the kind that shows scratches easily, but you can buff that out, and it will wear nicely over time. If you like your leather to get that well-loved aged look with regular use, this will do that. The leather is thick but supple and the reinforced spine looks really nice. The elastics seem to be good quality with plenty of stretch and snap. It has two card slots as well as a full-height pocket in the front, and another pocket in the back. That means I can stick my ID and bank card and some other odds and ends in there and use it as my EDC without carrying a separate wallet. All in all, it's a solid choice that I believe will last for a long time to come. (Pen in photo is a Monteverde Vesuvio ballpoint.)

If I could give 100 🌟s I would. I got nervous after reading the reviews about mold and quality but I went ahead. Super happy. It just arrived may 20 minutes ago and I already put it together. Only adjustment I made was putting the knot in the string onnthe bottom. I want to change the strings to pink. Excellent quality. I may even order a second. I hope thia wears well. The slight imperfections are expected as it is leather. It ia not shiny and smooth, more of a slight texture to it. I will DEFINITELY be ordering a second one. Almoat forgot to mention, the packaging was beautiful. This is one of the best purchases I have made in a very long time. Update: I was not kidding when I said the quality is amazing and I would purchase another...that's exactly what I did. I purchased the passport size for when I travel. It is the same top quality and is a tad bigger in sizes that other passport sized journal covers. I ordered another one from a from different brand, it was cute but definitely not the quality I am seeking. Also, the passport size, just like the A5 also has the inner pockets which is so convenient. I attached photos below. I will say, I wish they had other leather color options but I have no problem matching. One major difference is to not that the spine of the journal is sturdy but flexible. Other passport sizes are just a thin piece of leather. I included a photo of the spine. Its not as "folded paper like", best way i can describe it, as some other journals. Same excellent packaging. Another update. I now have 3 of these journals, just added the A6 because I wanted a creative only journal where I can doodle, draw, stick postcards and talk about feelings that they evoke, etc. I didn't think twice about the September Leather cover. This is it for me for journals, I have 3 distinctive one for 3 distinctive purpose. Same great packaging and same excellent leather quality. Because the unsert i am using is a little more delicate, i changedbthe elastic to be a thinner pink one. I also adorned the front with some decorative pins.
