You definitely require an undercoat on any previously painted areas if when you sandpaper the previously painted areas you expose bare wood. e.g. corners on panelled doors etc.

Used for doors and skirting that were in need of freshening up. Done the job perfectly.

Found the delivery was good the product was very well protected against any spillage would purchase again

This is a traditional oil-based gloss paint which I think gives the best finish but is also the hardest to apply. As used and recommended by my decorator who says water-based gloss paints don't give such a hard, high-gloss finish. I've tried them and they don't flow to a smooth surface like this paint does on a well-prepared surface.Brushes need cleaning with white spirit or turps and there is a "painty" smell if there's no ventilation. You do need to know what you're doing or you'll get runs and drips. The more I do it the better I get. It takes a day to dry and two weeks to fully cure. Don't rush to put heavy things on it! The excellent finish is worth the time and trouble.
