There is nothing special about it, and it's definitely not spill-proof.The top does not fit securely on the mug. Turn it slightly sideways and it falls right off. The same type of gasket all low-quality travel mugs have for tops is being used here, but they made it too small to actually fit snugly on top.Second mug was worse than the first. Same major issue where the top doesn't stay on the mug. The top also came in two pieces with the tiny plastic tab that holds it together broken. The bottom is separating from the mug.

Unfortunately, just like the other people who actually bought this, it is not recommended. I've returned mine just like the others and will case a stir if there is any hassle getting a refund. The top is extremely loose and falls off. There is no way it is in any way leak proof. The inside I'd be afraid to drink from for fear of getting filings off the rough edges. The bottom is loose.. Look carefully at the 'positive' reviews' on this product. Those people have only posted on this mug and a kite and are relatively new users... all of them. They are more than likely false to try to get the review averages up, to balance out the genuine negative ones. Be smart and read only the VERIFIED PURCHASE reviews.... you will discover this is a piece of junk. Buy from a reputable seller and a brand that is quality. Shame on the seller for trying to brag that this is high quality.

Buyer beware! Read the negative reviews. They're right. I read both positive and negative reviews before buying but couldn't separate the wheat from the chaff. This mug will not work as a travel mug since the lid doesn't seal and therefore leaks and/or falls off when tipped. Apparently, a large number of reviewers here have had the same problem also.And to add insult to injury, the makers of this thing send a follow up email boasting that they're a family run business intent on guaranteeing satisfaction with their product. They even send an e-book on how to use the product with assurance that they will respond to any problem within 12 hrs of notification. They never responded to my complaint. This product is a rip-off.

Oh the irony of the description "WATCH OUT for low quality travel mugs, easy to leak with poorly made handles here on Amazon"—yeah, that would be this mug. I find it hard to believe that anyone could possibly give this mug a review even close to acceptable. Yes, I bought it, and yes I immediately returned it. Terrible quality: cheap and poorly made. The lid was very loose and would easily come off, and the turnable piece on top would only move with force.

Just didn't work for me. I could feel the outside getting warm and after an hour the beverage was also just warm. The worst is when it fell over in my backpack and the entire content spilled out, definitely not spill proof.

This mug is used daily and is the best travel mug I have owned . It keeps the coffee hot for at least 30 minutes and is easy to carry . The stainless steel lining is easy to clean and the mug looks just like new after frequent use.

Poorly made item. Inside was rough, and there was a burr at the top that would have caused a leak. It did not get a chance to leak, as the top was undersized enough to not even attempt to seal. Returned. Saved a lot getting Contigo cups at Target for less than this item

The lid didn't fit and when I contacted the company they claimed that the assemblers must have damaged the product but since it had no damage whatsoever I have to assume it was poorly designed and not planned well.
