Think Beyond Camping: Great Utility!
I’ve waited a bit to review because I wanted to see if keeping it in the car was worth the space. As you can see, it’s resting in the subtrunk with room to spare for the mobile connector charger bag. This allows for groceries to be put in the frunk and along the sides in the trunk (not to mention the vast space on top!).So, after having it in my sub trunk for over a month, I can definitely see some advantages and use cases outside of a weekend trip to a park / road trip.1) Uh, work naps?Sometimes your boss may go out for an extended period or you may get to the office early and realize you didn’t need to. Having a spacious, comfortable, and flat(!) bed ready for quick set up in your car is a game changer. Makes powernaps all that better.2) Being far from home and wanting to relaxWriting from the Bay Area, I often find myself an hour+ away from home. While I have other things to do around the bay, it doesn’t make sense to go home when I want to relax. Otherwise, I’d be in the driver seat on my phone or watching YouTube on the main display. With the quick set up time, you can really unwind just about anywhere.I’ve tried other products seen on Tesla forums that you can get from camping stores but these are just products that happen to fit the Y. With this being cut to fit the wheel wells and having plastic support on the side for your head, it’s truly a perfect fit.I guess I wanted this review to help people realize it’s utility outside of camping. Having a climate controlled, super comfortable, expansive “pod” is an indispensable luxury — and this Tescamp is the key for making it all work so seamlessly!Oh and the sheet is super comfortable too. My background is in indoor air quality and I haven’t noticed any off gassing or anything of the sort. Great quality & safe materials.

Good compromise between space and comfort
I've camped in my Tesla twice prior to this purchase. The first time was with an air mattress. The mattress lost air during the night and it was generally an uncomfortable sleep, especially for two when any movement by one person would disturb the other. For the next trip, I used a thick fold up foam mattress. It was comfortable, but took up nearly the entire cargo area. I think the Tescamp mattress is a good compromise. Would I have liked it to be thicker or denser (and thus more comfortable)? Certainly, but then it wouldn't pack up in such a compact case, which fits in the frunk and the compartment under the cargo area. The foam does puff up quite a bit after unpacking, but this also means that it's not that dense. It provides an ok amount of support, but you can still feel the surface below. Nevertheless, I much prefer it over an air mattress. Oh, and no smell (with a new air mattress, you get that new plastic smell, which isn't great in a confined space). Fitment is great - it's not totally rectangular (we have a 7 seater and was worried that it wouldn't be a good fit since there is an elbow space area for the third row in the cargo space, but it fit perfectly). I think this also helps keep the mattress in place, plus there is velcro underneath.

High quality + comfort
Firstly, the quality of the bag is amazing I was stunned as I was unwrapping the package. Even down to the zippers you can tell they didn’t spare an expense. There are handles on the bag and that makes for really easy carrying. The set up instructions are very clear and made it super easy to use for the first time. This was probably my most comfortable camping trip and it’s thanks to the memory foam mattress. It comes with the fitted sheet so all you need is a blanket and pillow. When I first opened it I noticed the hard part but I quickly reread the steps and noticed that was to be put underneath the head side and it made it a lot easier to rest my head, I felt like I was sleeping in my own bed. I definitely will be making a lot of use of this mattress!

Just about right
I like everything in this mattress, just about right. I was searching for a mattress to go car camping, my hard requirement is that it should fit in frunk or sub-trunk. Other mattresses are bulky and occupy more than half of trunk space, defeating the concept of storage efficiency. This mattress is just about right in every aspect -- right size - fits comfortably in frunk and subtrunk- right thickness (don't expect a comfort of 8-in mattress, but this doesn't cause discomfort either and can give you a good night sleep without worry, hey comeon you're in your car camping, you want 8-in you should probably book a hotel!),- right fit - this one is custom made for my Model Y so can cover corners- Comes with sheet, so don't need to buy separate- Just hit the sweet spot for $- easy to pack and unpack.Definitely recommend.

WTF
Might as well sleep on the box it came in, it would be softer. No exaggeration!

Convenience at the cost of comfort.
The foam is too thin and not dense enough. My wife and I are about 5"5 and weigh about 125 lbs each. Easily bottomed out and uncomfortable. I bought a Zermatte to replace this and it's the same thickness with better foam and very comfortable. It gets points for the compact design and easy stow in the trunk bottom or frunk for sure. So if that's more important to you than comfort, this will work. The Zermatte is more of a hassle to roll and stow.
