Absolutely fantastic value arrived on time and really well packaged definitely recommend

Classic in a great format

This is a fantastic story and swamp thing is such an interesting character. I would however highly recommend at least reading len weins initial run of swamp thing (Swamp Thing #1-13) before this as the events of this story hit way harder when you know the context and journey of this character so up untill this point.

Update- Just buy the absolute volumes instead. Omg has completely transformed the experience. I can finally appreciate and make out the art. The story is well written. If like me you find the older art too harsh on the eyeballs get the absolutes. Otherwise this is an amazing story. I love it. I find the art a bit dated for my liking. But I think I just don't like those old art styles. And that's a personal preference. Not to take away anything from the art or artist. The story starts in the middle of something. Swamp thing has previously completed a mission. So it's like. Oh it's not his origin then. My bad. But as I read on. It just didn't grip me. I wasn't a huge fan of sandman either but I finished the first deluxe because it was intriguing. I've always liked Swamp Thing character. I enjoyed the Amazon show too. But I'll come back and update my review once I've finished the collection. Hopefully it gets better.

This is the classic return of the DC Swamp Thing character in the 1980s written by Alan Moore. This time the character and world are really opened up and explored in the most fascinating, philosophical ways as never before and it had a huge influence on the next generation of comics and comic creators. The artwork and writing together is amazing. The downside here was that again, being delivered by amazon the collection was left on my doorstep which I never want and the box was slightly damaged by rain weather. Amazon, stop leaving orders on doorsteps. No customers want this.

I love Alan Moore and I love The Swamp Thing. I've not finished it yet but I am really enjoying it.

Swamp Thing is a fantastic story and this collection just makes it perfect on my book shelf. Highly recommended. Read this, then watch the TV show, which is also great :)
