In recent years, students who are main users of mechanical pencils are especially about performance, features, design, etc., and have a need to use something better and different. A product that meets these needs is the "Kurtga Advance Upgrade Model". High precision metal punch handles provide a smooth grip. The double speed "Kurtoga Motor" and metal parts keep the core sharp at double speed and the line width becomes even faster and narrower. Equipped with a core break prevention mechanism that prevents core breaks and allows comfortable writing without worrying about writing pressure. Review: It's Advanced. One of the best. - I'm a long-time user of Kurutoga pencils for surveying drawings. The progressive rotation of the lead means you can just get on with drawing without distraction. And this Advance model seems like a genuine advance. The grip is about right for comfort and level-of-grip. The grip is not abrasive, but the tiny holes prevent slipping (and my hands do slip on metal or shiny barrels). I also like the retraction of the tip when the pencil is stowed - a good damage-prevention feature. All in all, this is right up there with the best mechanical pencils available and at the point where if you like something else it's probably down to preference rather than performance. For me, the styling is a plus point too. It looks discreet, functional, modern, and purposeful. Review: What a pencil!! - Such good quality! I got rid of every other pencil I had. Saves space, and does the job. The materials are really good and I suspect it’ll last a looong time ## Features - Lead Rotation Technology, Mechanical Pen, Kuru Toga - Lead breaking strength - Leash Size: 0 5 mm - Non-slip punch handle ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0845V47FR | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Age range (description) | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | 6,049 in Stationery & Office Supplies ( See Top 100 in Stationery & Office Supplies ) 30 in Mechanical Pencils | | Body Shape | Cylindrical | | Brand | 三菱鉛筆 | | Brand Name | 三菱鉛筆 | | Closure Type | Press stud | | Colour | metal | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,793 Reviews | | Drill Point | Ultra Fine | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04902778255148 | | Grip Type | Non-slip | | Hardness | HB | | Included Components | Eraser | | Ink Colour | Black | | Ink colour | Black | | Is the Product Left or Right Handed? | Right | | Item Diameter | 11 Millimetres | | Item Dimensions | 14.1 x 1.1 x 1.4 centimetres | | Item Type Name | Mechanical Pencils | | Item Weight | 16 Grams | | Line Size | 0_5mm | | Manufacturer | Uni | | Material | Lead | | Material Type | Lead | | Model Name | Kurutoga Advance | | Model Number | M510301P.43 | | Pattern | Unique piece | | Recommended Uses For Product | Writing | | Special Features | Erasable, Pocket Clip, Refillable | | Style | Modern | | Theme | Writing Instruments | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Writing Instrument Form | Mechanical Graphite Pencil | | Writing Technique | pencil lead | | Writing instrument form | Mechanical Graphite Pencil | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Adult - **Brand:** 三菱鉛筆 - **Colour:** metal - **Ink colour:** Black - **Material:** Lead - **Model name:** Kurutoga Advance - **Point type:** Ultra Fine - **Special feature:** Erasable, Pocket Clip, Refillable - **Unit count:** 1.0 count - **Writing instrument form:** Mechanical Graphite Pencil ## Images ![Uni Kurutoga Advance Upgrade Model Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm, Metal Barrel (M510301P.43), Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/611HcZXtgqL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Pattern, Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can I use any other 0.5mm lead?** A: Yes, you should be able to use any 0.5mm lead. I've already reloaded my pencil with spare lead I bought. **Q: What is the difference between kurutoga advance upgrade model and kurutoga standard model?** A: Standard Kuru Toga pencils rotate the lead once every 40 strokes, while the Kuru Toga Advance rotates the lead once every 20 strokes. The Advance's mechanism is made with metal parts for smoother, more reliable performance. **Q: Can you see the rotation through the grip holes?** A: No, but if you remove the tip and the external bezel, you can see the whole mechanism in a transparent plastic tube (It is really nice). Then there you can note the mechanism moving while you use it. **Q: what kind of erasers do I need to use to refill the pencil when low?** A: Advance models use size "S" refills ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's Advanced. I got rid of every other pencil I had. Saves space, and does the job. The materials are really good and I suspect it’ll last a looong time ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You chose a great pencil now get 3B leads *by T***K on 16 June 2026* Brilliant. At first it feels light, is it plastic you ask. The black nib bit unscrews,it hold the metal holed sleeve in place. The code is plastic. The black button end seems to be metal, and slots in with a reassuring click. It hides an eraser, holding in the spare leads, only one supplied😢, but buy your own. Also note the eraser is narrower than other ones I've met so I use a separate eraser to ensure I still have a lead retaining bung. Price it is a bit dearer than some (mostly plastic ) offerings, but not extremely OTT like rot..... can be. ## Frequently Bought Together - Uni Kurutoga Advance Upgrade Model 0.5mm Mechanical Pencil, Gun Metallic Body (M510301P.43), Black - Uni Pencil Lead, The Uni" Smudge-Proof Leads, 0.5mm HB, 40 Leads x 5 Pack - [Mitsubishi Pencil] Uni Metal Case 0.5mm HB Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/328876466-uni-kurutoga-advance-upgrade-model-mechanical-pencil-0-5mm-metal](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/328876466-uni-kurutoga-advance-upgrade-model-mechanical-pencil-0-5mm-metal) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
