Does this radio require wifi to work? I just want an old school digit alarm clock with radio that doesn’t require Wi-Fi

No, it doesn't require WiFi to work. It's an old school radio with a thin wire serving as antenna. Having said that, the FM reception is excellent! Overall, a very good little radio. You'll be pleased with the auto-dimming feature.

Can i set the alarm to week days only ??

Yes, you can set an alarm to activate on just week days.

Will this clock hold the time zone? my time zone never changes hours. i had a clock like this, set for my zone, that changed time anyway. so annoying!

Hello and yes, I believe it will hold the time zone, according to the instruction booklet that came with it. There is a way to disable the daylight savings time option on the clock, and I have done that with mine.

Is this an Emerson Smartset? They look identical

They do seem similar...O love the blue tooth and charger function
