I'm 54 now and had been using the "firming" formula for several years. I bought the regular one day and within a couple of weeks started to notice how old and creepy my legs started to look. I can wear shorts and bathing suits again which is good because I live on a boat. I also have a super light complexion which never tans. I wouldn't be without this stuff. **Q: Does this product have a lingering smell like other sunless tanners?** A: Smells great actually...I use self tanners all the time, but HATE the smell they leave... this smells like normal lotion and gets the job done... **Q: Would this wash away if you went swimming? Once the color develops, you can rub lotion and sunblock, go swimming, wash your skin, etc. and the color doesn't just come off. It isn't like a paint, it is more like a stain. If you stop using it, the color will fade away after a few days to a week or so, depending on how dark it is, but it doesn't just rinse off like makeup. **Q: How long should I use it for after the first 7 days and will exfoliating in the shower with a loofah take it off?** A: I also use a loofah daily and use the cream every 2nd or 3rd day after cleansing and before bed. I apply it every 3rd day to keep my Florida tan look. I apply it right out of the shower and it goes on well. It does not look orange and tans nicely. You HAVE to make sure you wash your hands well after applying - even under your fingernails because it WILL stain. I keep an old toothbrush for this. It also moisturizes well. In the winter, when I get the alligator skin on my legs, I apply a light coating of regular lotion first and then the Jergens Natural Glow over it. It still "tans" your skin and looks good.
