BoldDrop Stainless Steel Fine Filtering Loose Leaf Tea Infuser Basket for Cups and Mugs

I have been using the filtering loose tea infuser for several weeks now. I always got frustrated with tea balls and other solutions. I like this very much. It allows me to stir the tea leaves in the water and lift and run the hot water of the leaves. I think it works great. The holes are really small, so tea leaves don't escape!It works fine on most tea pots also. I had problems with really wide mugs, but if you keep it to one side, it works.The construction is flawless and the holes are very small and precise.The only con is that it is a little harder to clean because when you add water directly to rinse out the leaves, it runs right through it. I have settled on dumping out the leaves in the trash, letting it dry, and then knocking out the remaining leaves before I wash it for the next cup.I would definitely buy this again.

Works great! Good quality, easy to clean, and gets the job done perfectly. Originally did not receive the lid/drip plate thing. Not a big problem and I understand things like that happen sometimes, so I contacted BoldDrop. First off, I contacted them one night and they responded early morning the next day. Very fast. They said they were going to send an entire new unit out to me and that I can keep the basket I already had. I received the new one two days later. I am very pleased with the product and the customer support of BoldDrop. They made sure I had the full product and that I got it in a fast manor. Fantastic customer service by BoldDrop for an issue that probably wasn't even their fault to insure the customer was happy.

Top tabs are a bit short. Fits over narrow topped mugs.

I am so disappointed in the product. I was shaking the used tea out of the bottom. Not very hard at all and the handle falls off. No way to reattach it. It looks like it was glued?!?!

I was excited to receive the infuser. Perfect size and mesh, and was great for a few days. However, one of the handles came off for no reason and rendered the strainer useless as it would not sit or hang balanced on the mug or cup. It would have been great if it had a one-piece construction and and the 2 wings were not attached on instead.

It does the job, and rinses out fairly easily though leaves tend to stick in the mesh. One of the arms fell off within a month or two. Still works as long as the mouth of the cup isn't too large.

I own many different types of loose tea strainers, but this is the one I like the best and use most often. It fits all the way down even in my tall, narrow mugs. The arms extend about 4" across which allows it to fit in most tea cups or mugs. It is made of stainless steel which is the preferred material if you are a purist. The holes in the strainer are very tiny, smaller even than the wholes in the collapsible silicon style. From experience, I can assure you that this strainer does a much better job at keeping the loose tea bits where they belong. I like the straight sides as it makes it much easier to clean. Also, it has a lid which is a must if you want to keep the steeping goodness from evaporating. Every day, several times a day I make hibiscus tea with dried hibiscus petals, chamomile tea with dried chamomile flowers, nettles tea with finely chopped, dries leaves, etc. So I have A LOT of loose tea making experience and have tried a variety of loose tea strainers. As I own just about every type of loose tea strainer on the market, I have done the experimental research for ease of use, durability, and functional purpose. My conclusion is: buy this one. I like it so well I am purchasing another one.

I absolutely love this infuser! The fine holes filter out even the smallest leaves but it does not impede water flowing through it. The "ears" on the top span even my largest mug. Using the top as a drip catcher is a perfect design. Great price, great device. At this price, I might buy a second one as a backup.
