Just wondering how tall a bowl or plate of food I can put under the lid. Thanks.** A: There's a concave dip from the highest point down to the base of the handle, so I'd say you its about 6cm at its lowest point. However the concave dip is about 13cm in diameter and the lid is about 7.5cm high at that point. **Q: Can you close off the steam vent completely?** A: Thanks for your question: the steam-vent can't be closed off; it is one small whole and there are no movable parts. Hope this helps. ## Frequently Bought Together - GastroMax Clear Microwave Cover for Food 25cm Wide w/ Air Vent - BPA Free Plastic Food Safe Microwave Oven Plate Cover - Dishwasher Safe Microwave Food Cover Max 100 Degrees Celsius Heat Resistance - Hasbro Gaming Jenga Family Game, Outdoor Games for Kids, Summer Toys, Classic Strategy Stacking Game for 1+ Players, Fun for Parties, Travel, and Ages 6+ --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/328186154-gastromax-microwave-cover-for-food-clear-plate-covers-with-vent](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/328186154-gastromax-microwave-cover-for-food-clear-plate-covers-with-vent) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
