Really sweet bbq sauce
I purchased this bbq sauce because I was looking for one with clean ingredients and little to no added sugar. Well, the ingredients in this are okay, but there is SO much date in here that it tastes VERY sweet. We like a bit of heat or tang or something to add interest to our bbq sauce, but there's none of that here. It's so sweet and thick that my husband, who is more willing to eat added sugar than I am, refers to it as "apple butter." Like, "I'm going to have a turkey sandwich with spinach and apple butter. for lunch."I have tried other paleo and whole 30 bbq sauces. Some of them have some good flavor/heat but have WAY too much cinnamon. Ironic - do you want cinnamon-y bbq sauce, or non-cinnamon apple butter sauce? So... if you like really sweet bbq sauce this may be the one for you. At this point my family may just give up and go back to Stubbs. It's lower sugar than most brands, has no corn syrup and actually tastes like regular bbq sauce!

quality product
Probably the best “paleo” or “keto” BBQ sauce I could find. Many, if not most, LCHF BBQ sauces have sucralose. As a trucking family, if you knew what chemicals were used to make sucralose, you wouln’t eat the stuff, and we don’t. This one has dates which is a “sugar” but it’s a REAL FOOD. We would rather take the hit on a carb or two with real food then fake foods. My husband likes this. To me, it is actually too sweet. We have been nutrient dense keto for 9 months, no cheating, and I make very few “sweets”. I taste sweet very easy now.For quality and ingredients this really probably is one of the best out there. I just wish it wasn’t quite so sweet.

Great Whole 30-Compliant Dijon with a Bite... but Frequently Out of Stock
I absolutely LOVE this Dijon. When I was preparing to do my first Whole 30, I was ecstatic to learn that there was a Dijon that was compliant to the program. I use Dijon on almost a daily basis in my salad dressing, so I was in a bit of a panic (lol, pathetic, I know) thinking I'd have to go without on the program. It has a great bite, and honestly, I don't even taste the difference between my previous favorite Dijon (with wine) and this one.My only issue is that Tessemae's keeps running out of this product - it is currently unavailable now (January 2017) and I have no idea when it will be back in stock. I have not been able to find a compliant Dijon that has the same kick to it as this one... Highly recommend if you don't mind it going out of stock every few months.

Delicious not-too-sweet barbecue sauce
This barbecue sauce is mildly spicy and very flavorful with good consistency. I love baking chicken pieces marinated in this sauce, or adding the sauce to pre-cooked chicken or ribs. There’s a barbecue place near our house that sells awesome pulled pork, beef brisket, and ribs, and we love using Mattie’s sauce instead of the too-sweet sauce the restaurant gives away with their smoked meats. We don’t enjoy Tessemae’s ketchup, the flavor is a little one-dimensional and flat, but another great product they make is their habanero ranch dressing. Creamy and spicy, I love it paired with tomatoes and avocados.

Should be called AppleCiderchup - DISGUSTING!
I love ketchup. I view it more as a sauce and not a "condiment." That being said, after our first round of Whole30, we decided that we missed dipping things in our ketchup, so I set out to find a suitable (or even close) replacement. There are so many different brands available, but according to the a lot of reviewers, they claimed Tessemae's was the closest to real ketchup - I just want to set the record straight that all those reviews are FILLED WITH LIES.We were so excited, but the smell alone once the bottle was opened is off-putting and probably scared away all the rats in the walls. But we thought, maybe it'll taste better than it smells.NOPE.FIrst off, it DOESN'T TASTE ANYTHING LIKE KETCHUP. There's no tomato flavor, there's not even a strong date flavor, which is something that was reported by a couple folks, it's just ALL APPLE CIDER VINEGAR FLAVOR. The formula here is waaaay off. They need to go back to the drawing board. It tastes like expired BBQ sauce where the vinegar has begun to ferment.THIS IS NOWHERE NEAR KETCHUP. It's not even in the ballpark. Lucky for me, I wasted money on two bottles (YAY) - Time to spread it around the perimeter like a moat bridge to keep the rats away.

Doesn't taste like regular ketchup
This ketchup doesn't taste like normal ketchup. I use it because I can't have gluten or sugar. This one is tastier than other brands that are gluten and sugar free. There's a strong balsalmic vinegar like flavor, and I could see using it in cooking, on burgers, etc. It does not taste the best on fries and hot dogs though. That's just my opinion. My husband loves the stuff and puts it on everything. I would say it's definitely worth trying.

This sauce is like a mix between Memphis and Carolina BBQ styles
I live in Memphis, so BBQ is something I am very familiar with. This sauce is like a mix between Memphis and Carolina BBQ styles. I like it a lot. My husband and I are making ribs this weekend. I'm on Whole 30, so my ribs won't have any sugar. I'm worried the ribs will get dry in the oven, because of the lack of a sugar crust. Hopefully this sauce will save them.If your a fan of a sweet/spicy sauce and mustard, then I think you will like this.

Great Stuff! and HEALTHY compared to other BBQ sauces
I love the taste, I could wish for a bigger bottle though! For some uses, I've had to thin it a bit - which is so much better than dealing with too-thin BBQ sauce!!
