KIMIKURA Organic Hojicha Roasted Green Tea Powder, 100g/3.5oz

Have had bad experiences in the past with hojicha lattes from coffee shops, so I decided to try again but making it myself. This hojicha powder is dark roast and is really good. It is grainy but hojicha is typically grainy. It has a nice and toasty taste. Definitely have to add atleast 4 or 5 grams of hojicha to make a good latte (which I think most coffee spots I went to were not doing). It also foams nicely and has a beautiful color.

I use about 3-4g each time I make a cup of iced hojicha latte, this pack lasts a long time!

This was the second brand of hojicha that I have tried and I like it. It's on the darker,and nutty taste witch I like,it's a good value for the price. Would definitely purchase it again.

The first time I tried hojicha I fell in love with the roasted nutty flavor. I favored it over matcha instantly. Unfortunately, the product I was using was running out and I decided to try Amazon since it has a variety of brands. This one was the 1st I’m trying. I’m not fond of the flavor because it’s too mild and doesn’t have the roasted nuttiness I like. It’s darker in color and a chocolate aftertaste. It is very fine in terms of texture. It taste okay, just not my cup of tea. The price is decent for the amount that you get.

Have re-purchased many times

Wanted to keep this one a secret but it’s too good to keep secret. I am obsessed with this hojicha + quality is top at affordable price. Others are too overpriced. The aroma is so calming.

We really wanted to like this because of the great reviews, but the flavor was very weak and disappointing despite adding lots of powder. Unfortunately this item is also ineligible for return so we just have a whole bag of powder that we have no use for.

I had never even heard of Roasted Green Tea before. I love it! This hojicha has a much bolder flavor than regular green tea or matcha, although I can still taste that it's actually green tea -- roasted. I like it with some heavy cream and maple syrup, or just plain. The texture feels best when I mix the tea with a little water first to make a paste, then add more hot water. I usually still have residue in the cup when I'm done. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to be, maybe I'll figure it out as I drink it more. At any rate, I love the flavor, so on a cold winter evening, I'll make myself a cup from time to time.
