Battery fits perfectly. Was easy to install and get going.I got this battery to replace a larger battery that my laptop came with in order to put a second SSD in my Inspiron 7586 laptop. This model has the ability to support 2 drives with the correct caddy, I had purchased the caddy and was able to add a 1tb 2.5 sata SSD to my laptop with this swap. This exchange sacrifices battery run time in the name of expanded storage, but that is the design of the machine and in no means a knock against the battery.I have used Dell's battery manager tools to test the battery and all returns in good health. The laptop is being used to write this current review, with everything functioning as expected. So I would recommend this as a battery replacement for either the scenario I described or if you battery has start to reach the end of is life.
