This is a great quality item and it was super affordable. I was able to get it the day after ordering it, which was very convenient since I needed it last-minute. It’s also a good sized paper cutter -it’s not super large and bulky, so it’s easier to store but it will also still cut a standard sized piece of paper. The blade is very sharp and I like that you have to push down on the cutting square to make an actual cut, as it feels a lot safer. I’m not sure how sturdy the blade itself is, so I’m nervous to cut more than one piece of paper at a time just to conserve its endurance, but overall this is a great item for the price.

The alignment for where the paper rests is off by about 2 millimeters so my cuts were a bit crooked. Once I realized this, I adjusted how I settled the paper before cutting. I have to eyeball it, which isn't what I wanted, so I may add a few pieces of tape to raise the base so the paper can be level when I'm ready to cut instead. Blade is very sharp and it cuts paper nicely. For the thinnest pages (like printer paper), there was some tearing at the edge of the page. So, I tried to begin the cut inside the paper's edge to avoid ripping or tearing and cut from inside out and it worked. The cutter feels sturdy and durable. Not as amazing as my last one, but it's still pretty good! I'd recommend it for journaling and those who need to cut straight edges on 8.5x11 (or smaller sheets) regularly but don't have space for anything larger.

I have had a few of these over the years. This one is sturdy. It’s heavy enough to stay put when slicing. It’s small enough to fit in a bookshelf. It’s good for slicing through a couple sheets of paper. I like that the blade is replaceable when it dulls. Price is right!
