They are NOT rust proof. Rusted just a couple months after using them. They are also extremely light, which is fine but does make them seem cheap.

Great straight-edged knives that can be used to slice rather than to saw through meat. Knives arrived sharp, are well made and easy to clean. Likely will last along time, as they can be sharpened and are made of a solid piece of steel. Knives are lighter than they look and I think that the handles are hollow. That aside I am happy with the purchase and would recommend to others.

I need a set of steak knives, well for cutting steak. Many steak knives seem to be made large to impress, or have serrated edges so that supposedly they cut better. I wanted smooth edge, like a chefs knife, so that when I cut steak, I cut it unlike a serrated knife which tears it and the juices run out.This set is what I was after, smooth, sharp cutting edge. They are hollow handle, so good size to the handle and not too much weight.

I don’t use these knives often so I’m sure you can imagine my surprise to find the stainless steel knives covered in rust.Save your money and buy something else.
