I don't know if it's UV or chlorine, but they lose their waterproofness after a season or two. I think the rubber part that seals to the kid's face gets less pliable--you don't feel it or see cracks, but they start to leak. Until then, they're AWESOME. Seal great, easy to put on without pulling hair, and even a small toddler can quickly and accurately lift them up onto his forehead and put them back in place unassisted and quickly. Even though they eventually lose their magic, they work so well we keep buying more. Having happy, easy kids in the pool, ocean, or river is worth the extra couple bucks.

I love these. Thru fit my 2 year old perfectly and dont slip down her small head. The material is soft and doesnt pull her hair. It seems like the eye protection part is a great material, lightweight and doesnt press too hard onto her eyes. Overall - shes very comfortable and enjoys wearing them!
